Not at all. Sorry but it looks like a very over weight, sad, cob to me. Will he be the same if he was in better hands and fit and trim? A safe cob to me doesnt need a bit like that, And who the hell puts a novice on a horse with that bit when they hold the reins like that! And the price what the hell is that about! Really don't like sorry...

I'd be inclined to question the choice of bit if hes supposed to be novicey?

Thats just me though.

Ditto,

told aunt to ask why he has a pelham in with roundings with a total novice on.

LOL thats fine I agree with you all! Aunt reckons he is worth every penny as he is so safe.
for one even if the horse is lovely horses get ruined letting novices ride hem in bits like that, also dont think he is fit and feet dont look too clever fom what I can see in the field pic.

I said if she really likes him, try him etc, but I would say 2k , not £4500

I know a cob that was sold as a first horse, honest as they came, ideal first horse in every way, took everything in his stride, 100% in everyway. Was sold for £5000

I like the cob you posted, something about him that makes me go yes, not sure what though. But like others would question the choice of bit for a horse who was suitable for a novice.

My initial thought was - lovely head. Then saw picture no. 2 and wondered about the bit etc.

MMm not sure tbh.

But think how many people use nsuitable bits on their horses? The rider is obviously a total numpty - look at the foot wear etc, let alone theposition of his hands. The horse also appears to be wearing some sort of western saddle? I would say the horse is worth a look, and make an offer if he looks suitable. It is really not up to us to question how much someone is prepared to pay for a safe horse, if that is what they want. If it is a question of confidence, then that can be priceless. But do find out whether the horse can be ridden by a "normal" rider in a "normal" saddle and bridle.

Agree with the comments about the bit, as a previously nervous rider wouldn't have looked at him because of that even though the advert says he's anyones ride, looks cute though and Safe Cobs have a good reputation, I also like the palomino.
Safe, but not ploddy horses go for huge amount of money these days, so am not really surprised at the price although I think it's too much myself

I think your aunt should go and try him but take an instructor with her, don't think she'll be able to get him for £2K

OMG i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im not at all biased!!!!!!!!!!!!!
