What do you think of this horse?

over priced much?!

not a fan i'm afraid... no back end whatsoever, looks fancy in front but not actually working at all. and does he want to pin its head in any more?!

I would! Yes may not have much behind at the moment but at 4 years old he should fill out a bit more and the work will help. Oh yes Euromillions tonight anyone? not sure how far 95 mill would go though......lol.

PS just noticed price. Yes much overpriced but still lovely

Why the hell is it so expensive? Its not doing anything different from my 6 year old, but mine jumps as well. Even if I did have 51k to spend on a horse, i wouldnt buy a gelding.

He's 4! If he was stacked behind and 'working' at that age, I'd be more worried than I am by him being a bit light and airy fairy. He's a little BTV, but the rider is very quiet and sympathetic, and he's a busy looking horse, so I imagine he's doing it himself looking for balance. Used to see it a lot out in Germany with the youngsters we produced for the sales - their movement is so big that they find it difficult to balance, and they can be a bit on the hand to support themselves. As he gets stronger and matures, ridden correctly, he will be better able to distribute his weight and work more correctly.

I love him, although I also think the price is a bit steep for a gelding.

Surely the price is a typo, there's an extra "0" in there. Given the male rider's legs are hanging down, is he really 16.2hh? What size horse would that chap look right on?

I think he's a nice horse, with huge movement, very flashy looking, while the rider looks sympathetic i dont like the continual btv, i know a young horse may go there for a few seconds, but this looks held in place to me which will never free up the back end to work correctly. Stunning. Horse who could do well in the right hands, but could also go so wrong in the wrong hands

very eye catching

real baby lacks balance and no natural rythym, although i dont like to see the youngsters ridden like this (i prefer them to be more balanced and stronger in the body before putting a rider on at all, let alone working in an outline and rushing along) they are however trying to sell a young potential competition horse for top money so i suppose for them its how they do it

the written ad says they 'might' do a lot of things which made me laugh

I too wonder if this was a typo but did like him. I actually think the horse looks a little on the hot side as the rider is being really sensitive, legs are soft, he is not bracing his seat. as for being unbalanced, expected for a 4 year old. My just turned 5 year old, was not able to canter an entire circle at the beginning of the year and certainly could not hold himself up in corners!

Its all front end and no back end. He also is really reeling its head in.

I am wierd though I would rather go for an unbalanced scrawny 4 year old than one working like that, I dunno I just like to see them only gently worked at this age. I doubt that horse is only gently worked :O

tehe you'd like my rising 4 then! I look at these and wonder how on earth they are doing that work at that age. Mine squeals, gets excited sometimes, loses concentration quickly and is no where near developed enough! Tho he can do the most amazing flying changes and always has been able to. He seems to know if he is on the lunge and corrects himself. when I saw him as a 3 month old he was bombing around the round pen and when he changed direction he did a flying change! I do agree that they should only be gently worked at this age.

Beautiful when stood still.... but Crawling far too much on the front end and not engaging the hind, I know it's only 4 but for that money I would want something with a bit more of an engine behind...
