What do you think of this horse??

Video keeps stopping on me halfway through....just on left canter. I would happily take him home, play with him over the summer then do some hunting in the autumn. Seriously he looks quite compact and athletic. I could see him doing anything.

I couldn't play the whole video (my tech probs, not yours) but I love him - I would like to take him out hunting and I think there is a jolly decent canter there and wouldn't be worried coming into a fence on him :)

I discovered the fault with the video after I put this up - bloody thing - it worked perfectly first time!

When he's finished growing, he'll be a cracking good horse I think - he's a nice mover and immensely trainable. Can anyone guess his breeding (obviously he's part ID - because that's what I breed - but what would you guess at %ID and what the other bit is?)

I want to say an Iberian influence in one way, but then his movement is more extravagent than you would normally see. Counter that with the fact that there are some ID strains which have been DNA tested to show that they did actually HAVE Iberian blood from the Armada times. Assuming Raj is the sire? in which case I would expect him to get a lot heavier...so all in all

I have NO idea!

Bloomin video keeps stopping with me too, I can't even see any canter :( But funnily enough, I was thinking along Pre lines too, but thought I would look silly if I posted - at least there is safety in numbers Luci07! He looks like a lovely type, nice combination of compact yet free-moving :)

IDx Arab?

Lovely fella, puts the other "what do you think of this horse" to shame with his conformation and movement. Someone's going to get a nice horse there!

:D You're jumping the gun there. His mother is in foal to the glorious H Tobago for next year!

I confess I think he's a bit special. We'll probably keep him over the winter to maybe have a crack at BYEH - we've only JUST started his jumping education, but he's a natural!

I love him! My current lad has the same build and moves and he's just fab. Pure athletic and can turn their hand to anything, but a good solid build as the base.

Completely agree about the video of him compared to the video of the 6000 4 year old. definitely think he just has a spark about him.

Nice sort, good canter, looks like what he is - a baby. Can't say I see any Iberian influence there, 'tho. Not my type of horse (these days), but looks like he'd be fun for someone, of a hunterish disposition.

Yes but I know Philip well too-that's how I knew you had her and so I knew you had one called Moon River out of her.:) Think I've one of her eventing at Malpas as well as hunting

Ooh - would LOVE to see some if you can find them! She's been a super mare for me - I originally bought her as a hunt horse and she was a great success - until our huntsman fell out with her (he's not good with women,:D)

She started with 2 fillies - Indigo Reflection and Indigo Ripple - both now graded AID. Then River Rising (now 17.2 and doing hunter classes for his 5'2" owner), Moon River, then another filly, River Breeze - who is 2 and possibly the nicest one to date - and this year's filly, Amazon! Breeze and Amazon will be graded AID - then that's the end of grade up for her foals as we can't PROVE her Dam was TB!

So - that gives it away, Moon River is 3/4 ID and 1/4 TB - although he actually looks closer to the first cross (as do all his full siblings!) That's because the mare was by Enniskeane Prince, who had quite a bit of 'blood' in the pedigree. And blood finds blood!

Can't WAIT to see her H Tobago foal!!
