Confo wise and what breed would you say she is? Would you consider breeding from her? Shes 17 and apart from a bowed tendon which has been pinfired shes sound and healthy. M.

She's sweet, lovely head and neck but I am not sure about that back at all. Probably wouldn't breed from her as a result. Is her left hock ok? Looks capped or a spavin?

Do you know her breed btw?
 
She has obvious quality but looks likes had a bit of a rough life- her back intrigues me!!

I think she could potentially produce something very smart but would have to know her history first
 
She looks nicely bred and well put together. Her back does look weird but not sure if it's just the pic?

She looks like a nice middleweight TB to me or maybe TB x

I would probably breed from her.
 
She looks a nice type, and ignoring the obvious back issue and assuming the hock is injury related then her conformation looks OK. There is a nice quality about her, i'm intregued to find out about her ...
 
Well...she's interesting, isn't she?
A strange mix of very nice, and very wrong conformation.
Pleasant head, but thickish through jowl.
Nice shape to neck, but shoulder is more upright than I would like for her type.
Good depth through girth, and barrel is a good shape - but Good Devil, that back!
Front legs - very short forearm for her size, very short cannon (usually good, but hers seem too short).
Hind legs at strange angle - due to back? Proportions are a bit better, but very small feet all round.
I MAY breed from her - but I'd have to know all about her past history, what level she reached, whether the back was hereditary or acquired, etc....and she'd have to be special under saddle for me to risk it.

She's lovely, although her back does look odd... almost twisted but as someone said could be a weird picture. Neck looks a little short - probably wouldn't have noticed that before but my youngster has a bit of a short neck. Her rear left leg is VERY strange, especially the hock.

No idea on breed.
 
Nice face, dont like her back (obviously) and not overly fond of her legs, but difficult to look at her as a "balanced" picture when she obviously isnt!! Wouldnt breed from her.

. The mare in the photo is my new livery. I am not going to reveal her name in public as I dont have the owners per to do so. She is here on full retirement/not to be ridden or stressed livery. She is SF, 17 years old and her pedigree includes 'Sephir D'Elle' going back to 'Uriel' and on her dams side 'Perle De La cour' going back to 'Fra Diavolo'. Her CV includes Athens 2004, Bologna IntX3, Rome int X2, Gaithersburg,Canada, Aachen and so on including being part of the Italian Nations Cup team. As far as I know, her back is like it is and has never caused trouble. her hock is capped and her near fore is pinfired. She is in foal to 'L'Arc De Triomfe and to date has had her embryo's transfered to other broodmares. This will be her first to termination pregnancy. I feel very honoured to have been chosen to have her-Im terrified too
