If you look at the final picture of him - stood up and stripped, the size of his fetlock joints look very big to me (admittedly could be the angle of the photo). He has a capped hock (possibly, not the end of the world) and he looks back at the knee.

All could be the result of a bad photo - and he's certainly a looker. But if I couldn't see him in the flesh I wouldn't use him.

Having said that I'm all for British Breeding - so wouldn't use a stallion from abroad anyway.....

think that it is the angle of the photo to be honest. Not worried about capped hocks...only cosmetic at end of day. Might see if I can get through a DVD or something to see him better.

I think that most of the British bred horses contain continental breeding anyway - the likes of Millenium, Arko, or any of the top horses are ceratinly not all British bred...same can be said for the continental horses - they contain a lot of UK blood - in my view the foal will be born in the UK and go on to further British breeding (hopefully) and so where the sire or dam is from should not really be a huge issue. (Sorry - not being rude or anything AmyMay)

He looks fab in all the 'action' shots............. but only one conformation pic out of about 15?

and the pic is bad; not square on etc. I think he must have very poor limb conformation in real life, and this is an attempt to draw your attention away from it

Shame 'cos he's a real looker, and has plenty going for him under saddle.

Southide stud - I had also seen Cornets Prinz and have already emailed World class. I am not necessarily looking at the Cornet Obonsky lines but more the Clinton I lines and so obviously Cornet by default.

I hadn't had a chance to have a good look at Cristallo. Was at work and he caugt my eye but hadn't heard of him before so thought that I would ask o here and then have a good look later.

Super Stallion,

Lovley movement & Jump, Top class breeding, love the clinton line.
I have a clinton baby who has an excellent attitude to life and work.

This stallions conformation cannot be bad if he is a graded stallion!

I love Cornet's Stern at Schockemoehle. God it's got some presence and not overly big too and jumps and moves. Loved him on DVD when he was first graded and loved him more in the flesh last month.

[/ QUOTE ]i loved cornets stern too out of all the video he was really the only one i thought" WOW" eventrider 23 i have a colt whos grandsire is Clinton

but hes only 2 an not ready for the ladies as yet

Oats - I LOVE Clintissimo…Saw him in the flesh at the Zangersheide grading/open day. We were supposed to be using him this year for definite but there has been a slight hiccup in those plans and so whilst we may still use him, we are waiting to see how his first few inseminations in the UK go at Twemlows and will then decide whether to go with him or not.

Southside stud…who is you colt’s sire/dam if Clinton is G.Sire?

Agree re conformation, looks to have a weak hindleg and be back at the knee. Nice looking horse, but doesnt scream wow to me am afraid....
