What do you think of this?

I think...

'Aaaaaargggghhhh!

The first two are flaxen chestnut not palomino!

Aaaaaaarrrghhh!'

^ Pet hate (why should I believe anything else that they say if something as simple as that is wrong?). :p

I will now look at the videos. ;)

OK, I'm no expert by any means, but here is what I think of them:

video 1: doesn't seem like a schoolmistress type. looks pretty strong, was not impressed by the head tossing and opening mouth - a lot of resistance in canter.

video 2: for some reason, this pony doesn't seem completely sound to me. Could be just me though. Looked to be well behaved in traffic and pretty responsive to rider though.

video 3: I don't know. Again, there is a lot of head tossing and mouth opening. He's very on the forehand, and is running around with his rear trailing along behind him instead of working through from behind.

That's what I thought! I would probably call the Haflinger palomino, but the mare is chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail.. now to wait for the videos to buffer  my laptop doesn't like YouTube very much.. xx

glad i'm not the only one who thought the riding and horses behaviour sometimes odd.

My favourite bit is in the one video where it says 'what manors' lmao - i think they mean manners :D

I don't really like the first one - seems quite strong in some of the vid and it's probably just me but I'm not keen on the way she moves.

The second one I can't place why I'm not keen I'm just not :o

I like the third but IMO the rider doesn't show the horse very well in the vid.

Are you looking to buy?

Couldnt watch the whole video of first it was too painful ,lame,CHESTNUT horse, dreadful riding.
second just as bad unlevel ,wrong leg in canter, good "manors", easy to stuff pelham in mouth.
third just as bad gave up watching.
Awful ,the sad thing is people like this dealer probably consider themselves to be knowledgeable
Even worse being that genuinely inexperienced buyers will be purchasing horses from them

Are you looking to buy?

no, i just watched them as i liked that they had put a video on with the advert (i real plus point imo) but when i watched them none of the horses looked 'quite right/ and i couldnt put my finger on why. Just wanted other peoples opinions. Nothing sinister or anything, just interested.

Never Judge a book by its cover,,, here goes!

Tilly - Impatient little madam - I say little, she isnt going to notice when she squashes your foot for the 100th time - NOT patient in the road videos. - no ground work videos I note! - Why is her mouth open SO much, and why is she poking her nose and grabbing at the reins so much (not expecting Totilas here, but some manners!)

Carlos - Pelham in roundings, tut tut - at 2.00 in the vid, a little explosion brewing? 'cheeky nature' hmmm, Not impressed with the traffic vid, the Girls Manners are terrible, and Im not sure about the pony!

Logan - Appart from horrible canter transitions - I have seen better, im not saying I can DO better! - Not a lot to comment on really, no price?

Okay, videos now watched.. I'm no expert by any means but I am wary.. or maybe I'm just being overly-suspicious? :o

The mare to me looks a bit strong at times, and there's something a little off about her movement IMO, though could just be me, I'm still learning! The others seem nice, but there's something I can't quite put my finger on? The 5 year old is very nice, though something about the way the girl was riding I didn't like.. Those are my thoughts anyway. I'm no expert, and am happy for my musings to be corrected! xx

1) Pretty horse, poorly schooled, felt sorry for her mouth when being pulled up 0.18. Over excitable, needs schooling to work calmly, rider shouldn't be jumping. Not so hot on road safety :o it isn't your playground!

2) Unusual gaits, awful rider and is it just me or are its legs too short for its body ;) Safe in open spaces; doesn't show pulling up at the other end, proves nothing. Tacking up; really, clanking the bit against his teeth and the taking that much time and fuss to get the bridle on? Maybe I'm just very quick and efficient, or maybe she's just rubbish! Also a leg will go through those reins! Poor mounting, also if that's your idea of heavy traffic get out more. When the van passes I'd call that poor 'manors' and not perfect in traffic as they claim.

3) Horse looks off/uncomfortable, either through leg issues or annoyance at the terrible rider and having his head strapped down. Rider needs to get back on a hobby horse - those transitions, feet right through the stirrups, insecure leg. Dressage prospect my ass!

All horses look scared/uncomfortable/unhappy and are in need of schooling for capable competent riders. Logan looks off at points, but this may be the poor ground. No riders should be let loose on horses needing schooling; back to hobby horses and lead reins!

Just looked at other video "dressage" horse, again dreadful riding poor horse looks totally confused,it may be that hes out of a stallion WHY do people not get this right its by the stallion out of the mare.
They have the cheek to say no trainers/dealers, poor thing would probably love to go to a decent trainer ,might find it easier to work on a proper surface .

seems they have a website too - which includes this gem of a video for what appears to be a very smart looking horse - http://tradeonlyhorses.com/ads/entry/Amazing-Dressage-3500

they have been entertaining me all night :D:D

Lordship's Wandango? PMSL:eek: do they know what that's a euphemism for :D:eek:

Downhill, pokey nosed, no contact or bend below average horse. Trot looks off in places, but could just be the bad rider. 50 seconds onwards I want to slap the girl, stop yanking on its mouth!

Wow! I am amazed they put a video up of any of these. First one is just not my cup of tea but looked "wrong" behind?? The other two did not look sound at all. Maybe different riding would have produced a different picture but if I was selling I would not be putting videos of any of these up in a public place! The first one also looked incredibly strong. I hope no one pays too much for any of these:(

Yep right hind stiff and not tracking up. The other 2 were not right in front I think. That grey mare which is ID looked a bit poor but also I think you are right - she was just about to rear:( Not sure what to think - I genuinely don't know if these people are offering naff horses at inflated prices deliberately or if they are just ignorant people themselves hoping to make money:confused: Very sad for the horses either way.
