of finding a competitive loan home for Oscar for a year? Once he's fit and well, I've been considering letting him go away for a year somewhere that he'll be out competing regularly while I pay off my debts and concentrate on my new role at work!

I know I can't get rid of either of them permanently and Ty just isn't up to moving again - I don't want to put him through it.

Oscar jumps (would easily affiliate) has supposedly hunted, has lovely paces. Not sure what he'd be like XC but he jumps anything! Would maybe make a nice low level eventer with the potential to go a little further with a ballsy rider.

He's good to hack out although does need an experienced rider out on his own as he can be a bit nappy (no rearing, bucking or bolting though).

So do people ever look for horses like this? I'd want him kept within 40 miles of Epsom.

What do you guys think?

I think your chances are pretty good tbh. I know my mate always rode different horses for a while just to gain experience before buying her own competitive horse.

You could just put an advertisement out for a rider wanted if you were having problems finding a loan home for him. It'd mean he'd probz stay with you but I'm sure that'd be no bad thing!!
