What do you think to these livery prices?

Grrr why aren't you down in Sussex!!! Sounds more than reasonable to me!

I pay £36 a week for:

stable
turnout
20x60 rubber/sand arena (without lights at the moment!)
access to good off road hacking
leaky storage!!
services extra if needed
jumping field for a few months in the summer

Thats really cheap whe can i move in? lol I pay £30 a week for DIY livery! I then have to pay for the muck to be taken away about every other month, which is £35 a stable! Then I pay £50 for the use of the tracks for the year, 4 miles of not hacking and cross country course! Small field about 1 1/2 acres for both my horses (not much grass just daisies) they were moved recently from the other acre they had, but the field was only rested for about two weeks after being fertilised, which i also had to pay for £12 per horse! Sorry just realised i'm having a rant but i'm desperate to move but I've got no where to go, theres is no where local!

we pay £29 DIY for stable, tack room use of schools and jumps and TO. Hay and bedding are extra.

I do know of another yard that is about £34 DIY with bedding & facilities included and adlib hay at £14

woooo I better stop whinging about my bill, seems £31.50pw is mega cheap for all inclusive at a yard with good turnout and facilities! (Would be even cheaper if I didnt go through £21 worth of shavings a week and could use straw for £1 a week instead!)

Its alot more than I pay but then my yard is very cheap for our area and I'm very lucky. I don't like to be on a yard where hay and straw is included because Daisy lives out almost all year and has mats when she does come in so she hardly has any bedding. I feel like I wouldn't be getting my money's worth with hay and straw included compared to the knee deep beds that some people give their horses when its free

we don't drop the price in the summer, but then it doesn't go up when they cannot go out either.

Restricted turnout woudl put me off more than price, as I;ve a bale of hay a day horse too

if you didnt provide hay / straw then yes it would be a little pricey. but as you do - not its not its actually quite a bargain especially for big horse owners.

im on full livery but if i was DIY @ our yard would be £25 / week for by the sounds of it similar facilities but that would not include hay/straw. if i added in hay & straw for my pony it would be £40 a week - so if she was a horse and eating much more i'd be getting quite a bargain really as i have calculated that £40 a week with only eating 1.5 bales of hay.
