Don't know if you remember my post asking if Blacky was too fat? Most people said she was.
So do you think she looks better now?
Yesterday...

She look spretty good weight wise, maybe a tad more to lose, but well done.

umm, yes, i think she's a bit overweight. i know she's a cob type and would need starving to look like a racehorse, but i've always been told you should be able to see the faintest outline of the last two ribs. or, from behind, her hindquarters shouldn't dip down to her spine, they should go straight across it. i.e. not m shaped (where the middle upright of the m is her tail!) but more even across.
can you feel pads of fat on her shoulders, loins, or anywhere? you shouldn't be able to. she's very cresty too, and that's fat storage... you're lucky she hasn't had laminitis, i think. sorry. i'd keep the diet going a bit longer!

Definately looking better however have to agree that think you should keep the diet going a bit longer.

One good thing though she does look in good condition so well done you for that.

have you tried frontline on her feathers? if she is itching it could be mites.
that is a good shine you have there.

Sorry flower, really can't see much difference.

She is still grossly overweight. Even allowing for the fact that she is a heavy type of horse, she has a real gutter down her spine, and her neck is enormous.

thanks, i don't know about the saddle, i was borrowing it while hers was away getting fixed.

i know what you mean with the M, i know it's still there but it's gone down slightly.

yeah it's not mites, she has a skin condition. it only flares up in summer and the only thing that helps it is clipping, but the woman keeps making excuses! We're gonna get someone else to do it if she doesn't come soon.

oh i know she's still overweight!
I just thought she was looking better.
