I think it might be bad again as we had rubbish summer like last year which then led on to a horrid winter

have people forgotton that we had weeks and weeks of scorching sunshine this summer? It was only august that was bit damp. I have just had 5 weeks off and only had to put a waterproof on once. I really wouldnt say that was a bad summer!

Anyway, I also think we are in for a harsh winter but I dont want to have as much snow as last year.

Rumour has it is going to be as bad as the last one, which got doen to -20 at mine. Hope I am wrong!
Snow hadn't melted on the some of the mountains in late may!

my horse, who's notoriously bad at growing winter coats bearing in mind he's a shire x gypsy cob, has already started sprouting one! so I'm leaning towards it being a harsh one! but that's my only grounds to base that on haha!

last winter was better than the one before for us in the west country as we didnt have as much rain.

the snow was far better than the rain, even though we were putting out 3 round bales a week...they came out of winter quite well.

i prefer the snow..and so do the ponies..than continuous rain

Another one thinking my pony knows what I dont! Have serious fluff appearing at the top of his legs and neck!! Frost I love as I can still ride in the paddock, and frosty morning hacks are lovely. I Hate rain, wind and snow

i'm not to bothered this year as i'm back on my old yard where its all off road with sandy tracks... nothing like going for a ride on a crisp morning. Would prefer snow to rain however... lol

I have to say that my shettie is already looking like some fluffy bear and my TBx has more of a coat than is usual for this time of year!

OCH winter is always hellish where i live anyway so it does not bother me ,

At my College there are some massive and i mean massive hills for sledging so can't wait for snow to come

I have been googling long range weather forecasts today, suffice to say I have just been online ordering saloupettes for me and a thick winter coat for my little boy, plus a heavy duvet combo under rug for my horse. I love cold snowy weather - can't abide wet mild winters!

We have had a great summer here in the south east. We had weeks and weeks with no rain, if fact we were desperate for it and to be honest we could still do with a bit more. The ground is still rock hard.

I don't mind if its cold again or snowy, as long as its not wet!
