hey,

I'm going to the unaffiliated showjumping at moulton college on sunday, and very nervous... i havent competed in 4 years due to my horse having ligament damage but my mare is a bit of a live wire so to speak, especially when it comes to jumping. so basically i wondering if you could share your tips on how to calm her down... ive already had advise from mates from my stables for example, lung her in the morning... im also jumping the saturday at home just to practice some last min techniques. so what else could i do to calm her down??

cheers

Nupafeed? I use it with my uber bolshie gelding, and it means we can actually complete a dressage test without leaving the arena at speed as soon as I ask for trot.....!!!!

Nupafeed?? i've never heard of that before, do you highly recommend it?
it won't calm her down too much will it, obviously i want a bit of umph in her when it comes to show jumping...

how long does this feed take to get into the system?

I have used rescue remedy in the past for calming. just a couple of drops in the morning. I've used for myself a few times also! Great stuff!

I got Nupafeed for my mare when I was bringing her back into work as, basically, I value my life! It didn't seem to make any difference to her though, although I am still here to tell the tale!

I would lunge her before you go and maybe even when you get there if you have room and time. I just found that when I went to events the more gentle and consisten working in I did the better she became. I did lots of lateral work and things that asked her to concentrate. Good luck!
