I like him very much, but his pasterns look a little long? Or is that just me?

For me, yes they are too long - and also at quite an angle. I would worry about tendon injuries, but then I'm neurotic about long pasterns.

not just you they are long and he looks to have very strange leg angles from the knee downwards.

I really don't like his front legs. The photo doesn;t really help, but they are odd.

I think he is expensive for quite an average looking horse. I am sure you could get a lot better for our money.

As nice as he sounds, at any price with those legs, I wouldnt.

Bad confo always bites you in the bottom one day, specially when the horse is clocking up milage by jumping/hunting etc.

I love the grey. But then I am slightly biased towards them! Only thing is they are a bugger to keep clean.

Tobey - You've not missed a post lol, I am (for now) still riding those horses, however now my OH has started a new job, he's spending more on petrol so he's hoping we can find something closer to us where I can ride - so I'm trying a coblet and WB out on Sunday afternoon to see if they're suitable. But he's also said that next year we can look at buying my first horse, so I'm just having a peek at them

I would check the breeding of the Appy, they say she is by Dances with Wolves, but then say WBxIDxTB????? Doesn't make sense. She will be eligable for the part bred reg. if mum not an appy and Sire is who they say. Also it may be the pick, but she has very upright back end for an Appy, and looks to be a bit wide behind. Plus much as I love Appy's she is too tall for my liking and too expensive for 'potential' rather than any winnings.
