What do you think?

Rode her today - see above

Standng next to her I thought she was 16-3HH!!!! But with a stick on her she s barely 16-2hh - think the frst measurement was a guesstimate and TBH I would have made the same call

not surprising shes not in her best shape if she isnt with the right owner at the moment really, like you said, nothing that cant be sorted. if her temperment and ability is accounted for by people you trust that counts for a great deal! and really it all comes down to the fact that i want to see her pretty face when i come home!

how come the huge price drop? Did she do something wrong?
If she isn't fit and needs building up just now, I hope you will make an offer below the asking price! Well, I would!
Pretty horse.

That was 2 years ago - the first price I mean! She was actually bought for 10k and the lady is now selling her (she bought her to hack and do dressage on I believe but hasnt actually done anything at all so VERY low mileage)

Will see what the vetting throws up before I do any prce negotiations!

I think she's worth that, a few hunters not as nice as her have sold for more in our hunt, like my mums mate has just sold a 15.2 for 8k, which i think it quite a lot for a little one!

right i finished reading through every thing

!! i think she's a nice model and if she's sound and has no issues with vetting you would certainly be able to unleash any potential there. you say she needs work and muscle and she looks the sort that would be good fun to put the work into. i would say she's a very saleable horse and if at the end of the year having put the work in you found she didn't have enough jump for you she would be easy to sell on and you could prob make a little money having put a bit of mileage on her!!!

really like her. Have three of similar breeding and all look similar! I'd have her if I didn't already have too many. Niki Ryan is very good with flatwork, if she has done anything with her on the flat.

To me she seems expensive at the price listed as not fit and no winnings (that I could see)...perhaps a bargaining point (which I'm sure you will have thought of!) Good luck with her

I think she looks lovely! Would definately have guessed ID. The weak behind couldn't have been caused by any sort of sacroiliac injury could it? (Having experienced it, am very neurotic about it!).

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Clodagh - can you be bothered to PM me your experiences please and what you found that led to the dscovery of the injury?

I like very much. Looks very like my grumpy moo when she puts her ears forward!!

Sooo, have you booked a vetting?

Looks like a fun project -- but excellent idea to have a vet take look at her first.

Can't really speak to her using strengths but a well bred, well-trained, but out of shape QH mare would typically go for anywhere between $6,000 -- $18,000 depending on her papers around here so iffen we jumped instead of ropin', I'd say you are in the right ball-park -- particularly since she has already successfully foaled once.

I love a kind eye and she certainly has that in spades. If the vet says she's good to go, I'd do it.

Its actually 4Whitesocks that had a horse with sacroiliac troubles. Shes in NY for a week, sorry! I will look up her posts, they were on another site.
Also, a friend of mines mare did her sacro iliac area (ligament?) 14 months ago, she has just come back into work and seems fine but vet is saying she may not go back to event at her former level. She now doesn't stretch down and forwards when she walks, more sort of very short strides with her head up, theory is it is more remembered difficulty than actually anything current. She isn't jumping her much yet.
There must be someone on here who knows more about it than me? (Not difficult!). I believe it can't be picked up with a vetting, as 4WS definately had her horse 5 star vetted before she bought him, it was only as he got fitter and she asked for more collection and jumping that it showed.
Sorry, this isn't a pm

...am off to search...

We had a horse with sacroiliac problems. Had an accident eventing and was not level when you stood behind him - slightly down on one hip. I would not have bought him (despite him being a fantastic horse) if I had realised the problems it was going to cause. He had a 5 star vetting as well. Only showed once he was fit and we were doing proper work.

But why would you think this horse has sacroiliac problems?

Haven't read the other posts (I still use threaded mode

), but looking at her, I would have guessed TBxID.

However, the ad say's she's branded, so most likely to be a European WB - possibly Dutch or German?

She looks a nice sort
