Just something I want to be more aware of than something connected wth her as a horse - was mentioned today and I realised I am VERY limited in my knowledge of this area!
I see. John Walmsley diagnosed Corroy with this. He told me to turn her away for 3 months and just see how she went. Basically she just couldn't work from behind, towards the end she even found doing a 20m circle difficult and would run off with you. I then found a really good Physio as after 3 months she was no different. She was shocked how bad she was. She would go for you on the lunge as obviously it hurt
. Thankfully physio and loads of work has got her right and TBH there isn't anything she can't do. I do make sure she is always worked and fit and she has got stronger and stronger, but I always have to be very aware and make sure she is working correctly, which isn't always easy with a 24ft long horse
Wonderful kind face and eye, nice looking but would worry me it had been a hireling. Mostly incase someone heavy handed or heavy riding had been on her.
I worked in a hireling hunter stables for a season and often the riders were drunk and useless....
It's near enough for you to go and look though isn't it?
Only ever used twice and within my own hunt so am happy enough about that - spoken to the guy who hunted her ths season and he said she was the most mannerly horse he has hunted for a long time (he is not connected with the vendor LOL)
He's nice, but Id say overpriced. So he's only hunted? If he'd showjumped etc. then maybe but having just hunted I dont think I pay anywhere near that.
But hey, I dont know! I dont hunt so maybe people pay this for hunters if thats all they do?
