Hi there dont post very often on here!

Im looking for a horse after 11 years of waiting! Now ive found a very nice 15hh quite medium build tb, my question is im 5ft9 and 11 stone. Do you think i will be to big for her?

Im always worrying if im too heavy or tall for 15hh...

I would think you are too tall for her. I am 5 9 and a half and look too tall on a 15.2 hh TB. Weightwise, I would say she would be fine with you (as long as you don't gain weight). :)
 
Sorry to not give a direct answer but it really depends on the horse, age, condition and previous experience all come into it.

If said horse is a healthy and mature your weight should be perfectly fine. IMO height is almost entirely irrelevant, if you feel comfortable you aren't too tall.

What weight is the horse used to carrying?
If horse is used to carrying a 7st rider he/she may struggle to adjust, if the current rider is 10st I doubt the horse would notice much difference.

Is the horse's back in good condition? If he/she has back problems I would be cautious putting anything but he lightest of riders aboard.

How old is said horse? If he/she is a newly broken youngster she/he may not be physically mature enough yet, if he/she is aged 18+ they may struggle.
 
Horse is 10years old and the girl who rides her is around 3/4 inches shorter than me and quite thin so obv will weigh less but dont know how much by!
Back is perfectly fine :)
 
It is very unlikely you will be too big. Go ride and see how the horse feels, take some video of you riding and have a look.

She is in her prime then. Have you ridden her? If she feels comfortable and you feel confident on her buy her :)
 
It sounds like you will be fine on her. :) I don't think you will look too tall on her. I am 5ft8 and my boy is 15 hands and I look fine on him.
