what do you think ?

thanks, havent measured him, but around 13.2. he has been turned out for ages, on his own, and never been handled much, so may be a bit of hard work involved ! despite this though he is a sweet little thing !

He's very smart, but I agree with CS. His pasterns look very long and weak. He's also quite long looking - I wouldn't say he was stallion quality, so first thing I'd be doing would be cutting him. He's got loads of presence - and looks like he'd be a fun horse, if he isn't too stalliony (He has a bit of a look about him which would make me suspect he's a bit of a lad!)

Ditto. I think the 'stallion factor' about him, makes him seem more 'wow' than he fundamentally is [or 'could be' rather, as not decent enough photos to judge fully]

the man who is selling him said its because of a few years of bad trimming, being left to grow way to long etc when he was out on loan (running wild). would this sound right to you ? He said with regular farrier visits they would come right ? im no expert with feet ! and wouldnt keep him as a stallion, would rather a gelding. He does think he is the goods though ! thanks for your opinions !

I think that you will be able to improve them with good trimming, but not achieve perfection as his conformation in that area is less than perfect. Still like him though, and reckon he's worth a punt if the price is right and he gets his bits attended to!

Urghh he is awful, why would anybody want that!?

Better send him to me, I'll dispose of him for you ;)

I think that he's lovely, sadly not stallion quality but lovely all the same! Although his front legs are a concern and I would get the opinion of an unbiased 3rd party (vet or farrier maybe?) to see whether that was the case. Judging by the images I'd say that he is pigeon toed, but I couldn't be sure without seeing him in the flesh! :D

thanks ! im to easily persuaded by a pretty face , and even though wouldnt want a stallion, i cant help liking the look they have about them ! always helps to have realistic points made ! :) will have to be nice to oh and see what happens then !

thanks lollydolly, same goes for yours, happiily take him off your hands any day ! :D pigeon toed keeps cropping up, my mum said the same when i showed her pics, and a few on here, wouldnt buy without a vets advice so will get one to have a look before i decide

first things I noticed are his long pasterns, long in the back and 'boxy' feet in front. He has huge shoulders but m guessing thats just his breed and/or if hes maybe a stallion?.........he is gorgeous though- very eye catching and carries himself well -looks alot bigger than his size! :D
