Just wanted to share a picture from today. I truly love my boy he is such a handsome chap :D

Honestly? In order of thinking:

Impressive front
Very light behind
Love that silver birch
What is that building that looks like a slate roofed sentry hut
Wonderful listening ears

Striking a good pose Sir. Great looking horse, pretty good leg and foot position for the rider but hands a little high, please look up.

Well you did ask - but the last time I did any of that was 15 years ago!

This is in fact correct hand position for starting Spanish Walk. And yes, he should look up, but a lot of trainers do that looking at the ears thing.

Me, being very picky, a stride or two earlier to get the shed in the background and not the wood pile, would be, for me, a photo to put on the mantelpiece!!
Bon continuation !!

The building is a field shelter :D

As per Cortez comments hands high are the correct position for SW, all other work hands are low. Hands must be high.

For me, honestly, looks horrendous. But that's my personal opinion.

For you Armas, well done, I am pleased for you, he looks like a different horse! Obviously a very skilled rider in his discipline.

I agree :D Ill try harder next time lol Merci

Are you sure the slate roofed building is a field shelter? :)

Are you being schooled as well as the pone Armas?

Beautiful as ever.

Yep we both are training hard !

The one behind his head, not the one behind his back end.

Mmm that I am not sure about as the arena is a friends but I shall find out for you :)

No I don't think he is either......... Perhaps he is getting his pleasure vicariously.

No the videos are shot by me of my trainer working my horse. Given how rude posters were / can be I am not sure I will post any of me riding.
Although I ride most days I enjoy videoing the progress of Armas.
I get pleasure from both Armas and my self progressing.

He is beautiful, you have every right to be very proud. And your horse appears to have far better manners than the present company ;) I for one would appreciate more photos of your stunning horse showing off his Spanish Walk! I taught one of my own horses the Spanish Walk using clicker training - although his version is a bit more of a Scottish Stomp than a Spanish Walk!

:eek: Please do post some pictures of the Scottish stomp :)

Unfortunately i don't have any! We only got as far as doing it in hand, & i was normally on my own when doing groundwork. He's turned away at the moment, but due to come back in to work when he goes on loan to a friend in March - if she starts with it again, i'll see if we can get some pics.

P.S My horse is just a little common cob BTW, nothing like yours, so you may be disappointed! I'll have to make sure there are no interesting buildings or trees in the background & that the handler is wearing a hat! LOL!

Awful horse......I have a nice (really soggy) field in England you can retire him to if you're stuck ;-) Seriously though stunning x

Pmsl at the scottish stomp! Beautiful horse, stunning. I don't think it matters whether you are on board or your trainer, he is your horse, and we should all stand back sometimes and take pleasure in just watching our horses. However you get your enjoyment from him, is your business x
