Hi, my horse search is on but I am trying to go as local as possible for now and I'm out and about helping a few shows over the next couple of weeks so I've written a wanted add that I can bung up in the secretarys tent. What do you think?

Horse Wanted
15-16hh 4-9yrs old , wanted for experienced lady rider for hacking and low level dressage. Must be sound, sane and fairly sensible and a good do-er. Not a plod and not dead to the leg. 5 star home for life awaits.
Ask Ali on the Gate or phone xxxxxx

Not sure that I should put in the not a plod and not dead to the leg bit but the rest of the advert without it seems to give the impression that it's what I want.

You could say forward going but well schooled instead

might put forward going in, doesn't have to be well schooled as am happy to put in the work on that front myself.

this is more tricky than I'd imagined.

I wouldn't put anything about the plod/lazy thing - i think that might put me off if I had one to sell.. TBH your probably not going to have a massive response and it's not like if someone rings you and it's not suitable you have to buy that horse.

Good luck with it!! I think it's nice if you can buy something more local.

Ali, have you tried the ILPH?
I was talking to Michele a few weeks back and she said they have some 'more than happy hackers' in atm?
I don't know any more details than that, they might have problems or might be just too bright for the novice rider, I don't know.

Might be worth a phone call?
