Sandro Hit x Rubin Royal x Ragazzo

And opinions please? I think shes a little stunner! but am curious as to why she didnt sell at Addington.

Can they put a reserve on them mayb there wasnt anyone there willing to pay a huge price tag

P_G do you know how much they want for her - hse has a lovely head and nice long legs !!

she had a reserve of only £4.5k which i think is quite low considering. Ive emailed them to ask how much they want for her. I guess its probably a considerable amount tho!

I think shes lovely. My guess at why she didn't sell is because a lot of people who can afford to pay the higher prices want a quick fix, something you can either ride quite quickly or breed from, she is neither!! I paid £4000 for my yearling but that is cos i couldn't afford something older ready for riding and had to take the risk.

She is fabulous. I think between £5,500 and £6,500. I think that is a standard price range for top quality youngstock from studs.

I think people are not so keen to buy very young horses now because they are realising that the cost and time required to keep them for three years before they are old enough to ride is too great. So much can go wong up to the age of 5/6 and you loose everything if it does. I have bought yongersters in the past and as much as I have enjoyed every minute of caring for them, handling them and watching them grow up, I wouldn't buy a very young horse again because I want to compete and can't afford to have a horse stood about not being able to be ridden etc.

If I ahdgot loads of land and could afford to buy a couple every year and then sell the ones that don't suit me, I would love to buy youngersters again and possible even breed some of my own. However, for the moment that is on hold.

To me she is stunning but looking closely at the conformation she has very upright pasterns and also 1 pic made her look over at the knee, could just be the pics though. My colleague had a Sandro Hit Stallion that is standing at stud

Yeah i'm with mat_b, i saw the pic and thought wow but wasn't as impressed when i saw her at addington? Saying that she is still a lovely filly with very nice breeding!

From my experience sandro hits = expensive!

lol
P.S. I would have guessed higher than 4.5k

- i don't think that is out the way because she has very good breeding, and even if you bought her and she did herself in, sandro hit lines seem to be very lucrative!
My friends took a moomin colt (x flemmingh? i want him - chestnut four white socks up the the knees!) he didn't sell either they wanted about 4ish i think.
TBH i think addington will suffer a little from not being sponsored by stal korenbloem anymore, but still a good crack, and i'm sure it will pick up again!

didn't go to addington this yr, shame, as its always interesting to see whats there, prices and just to see what the foals ae like from various stallions.
its a shame that there isn't more enthusiasm and money for auctions in the uk, like there is abroad, it encourages breeders, for the money and acclaim etc, also promotes the stallions by way of what they've produced etc. i think only a few foals actually sold didn't they and they didn't even sell for that much! (not that i saw any of them of course so don't know what they were like, as wasn't there!) did anyone go? anything nice? woo, and what was the olivi mare like?

A couple of the foals were very nice, but a lot of the others did not do much for me. Most people were looking to bid to about £3500 but I did not keep the catalogue so cannot remember my individual notes.

did you see the Olivi x Facet mare? Wibufa?? what was it like. i saw it was not sold at 11,000.

Just a quicky - sorry if I'm repeating.

She is just lovely - but doesn't have the best front leg ( a bit long in the pastern, and rather upright).

Although with a reserve of £4k still a surprise that there was no interest.

Bless.
