What do you want to achieve in the next year?

This time next year I want to be going sucessfully be100.

We have our 1st 90 in a few weeks so all things go well hopefully its a realistic goal, my instructor seems to think so !

I'd like Tinner to remain as sane at six (which is next June) as he is at five, start having lessons on him, hack out regularly alone rather than infrequently, and get him really steady at travelling so me can do more, although I'm pleased that we can just load and travel for a hack - small steps! I'd like OHs horse to lose his occasional buck too! If all that goes perfectly then long hacks, pleasure rides, small shows and dressage stuff, and maybe clinics would all be great. It is a bit unhelpful that whilst Tinner is five and green but always tries and never plays up, Finlay is ten, green and has a slight naughty streak.

I don't really know! I recently passed my stage 3 jumping which was a huge goal for this year and has forced me to improve my jumping loads. I am now at a bit of a loss as to what to do next! My instructor thinks I should compete more (tricky without own horse!) and have a go at hunting which I might do. I want to continue to try and improve the canter of my share horse so we can maybe do some online dressage competitions and do well. I might look at the doing the stage 4 care exam or maybe the PTT just for "fun"!!?

It's nice to see such a variety of aims :D

I've come to the conclusion that my horse won't be ridden again as, after suffering a kick to her bad leg, she is lame again :( I'm gutted but she is happy in the field so that is fine by me!

My aim for this year isn't particularly horsey at the moment but the end goal is. I'm going to spend the year working hard and sorting my finances out so I can afford a second horse that I can ride and eventually do some small ODEs. I'm hoping to get a few lessons a month to keep my riding ticking over.

Being able to take Rio for an outing... whether its a competition or not... Just getting there and not having a melt down would be lovely :)

Awwwww that was my aim last year and this year we're out n about in HER lorry and my mare loves it! Just funrides tbh but we made the target which was a ride at Chatworth and it felt fantastic!
Just go for it, it can be done.

To complete the Quilty in October..
And then, um, I haven't really thought past October the 4th!
This is a dream that has been 7 years in the making: 9 weeks to go.
Next year I guess I have a foal to get out in hand for experience and a new 6 year old to get to his first few endurance rides.

2 goals which I set myself this year I have already achived ... To go XC and to compete in outlet local novice showjumping final, so my new goals are to go XC and get round without being eliminated and to compete in said novice showjumping final now we have qualified. I am also going to work on getting our canter sorted now that the trot looks good!

in the next 5 months of 2014-qual for the Area Festival finals @ Inter 1 and get my Regionals 2015 qual sorted @ Inter 1 at Vale View and Bury Farm High Profile.

In 2015 i want to start inter 2 tests and get the GP work at home totally solid.

I want to take my share out to do a dressage test. She's done it all before - up to advanced medium - but I'm a numpty and will drag her down far enough that I don't think it'd be unfair to take her in an unaffiliated intro or prelim.

To be back in the saddle before the end of the year, this involves me giving birth so I can fit in jods and my mare slimming down so I can get her girth done up! :D

I'd really like to be riding again. It's been a year since I've sat on my mare and I miss her. I'd love to be out again, just me and her.

I want to be well enough to try, buy and compete a new horse and to school my companion pony so that she can safely go on to another home or get a decent loaner from my place. She's so loving she really deserves an owner/loaner to love her rather than just have me exercise her and wish every time that she was three hands taller!!

I would like to be able to hack Tia out on her own confidently, more often, and to have overcome her current blip of not being happy coming in on her own on occasions. I also want to continue lessons with her & progress with her flatwork as I am toying about registering BD next year. More importantly than all that though is to continue having fun with her.

To get broken legged horse fixed up enough to hunt over winter, then do a BE80 next year. If he is sound enough the height should not be an issue, it is more finding one close enough and getting round to it, always a dream to BE but never motivated enough to actually DO it. But breaking his leg last year showed me that if you don't do it while you can, you might never get the chance again. If we managed to work up to a BE90 than that would be amazing, but given that I can't see me getting round to 2 in a year might not happen! Wish there were more close by!

With baby pony, would love to sell him before winter so he gets pampered a bit more - I ride him for my neighbour and don't have time to give him the attention that he deserves in winter. And I might have become a little too fond of him to throw him out in the field...
