Just curious, what do you wear for everyday riding? Winter and summer?

I think I'm to scruffy so intrested in replys!

I tend to wear vest top, trackies and trainers with long socks in summer and
Jeans, hoody and muckers in winter (over various layers!)

Normally only wear boots and jods for special occasions!!

Leggings, hoodie (gillet in the winter and if really cold ill wear trackies instead of leggings) and any vest top/polo shirt with long socks and hkm muckers. I only where jods/breeches competing :) x

Jods (usually creame/beige), long boots and hacking jacket, with a hairnet and a shirt....
Joke, I'm the Mother Clampet- whatever I fall into, usually joggers, fleece and muckers, with unkempt hair :o

coloured jods and jod boots/gaiters all year round, with appropriate layering depending on weather on top! if all jods are dirty then i'll wear leggings/jeggings.

I am often down the barn/in field wearing dressing gown and wellies.
For riding, either dark jods or trackie bottoms, usually a fleecy jumper as I feel the cold, jod boots and half chaps or hunter wellies, coats vary from a gillet, to an ankle length riding coat for bad weather, with varient lengths of hi viz jackets inbetween. Never go out without hi viz on myself and horse and we live in a very quiet area

Jods, boots (short in summer with chaps, long in winter), body protector. Fleece if cold and/or wet. Can't get on with wearing a long coat, I don't mind getting wet legs!

ETA - hi viz and hi viz hatband when hacking.

Usually an old hoodie with a vest top under it, a pair of jods, steel toe-cap boots and half chaps. Might exchane foot wear for long leather boots if I'm having a lesson or something important!

Jeans, chaps, cowboy boots, and long sleeve shirt.

I can't be bothered to ride in the rain so no need for waterproofs, and if it is very cold I bung a pair of extremely cool and trendy quilted coveralls on top of everything.

My one remaining pair of breeches live in a bag with the rest of my hunting kit been there for 6 years now :)

Always dark jods (navy, black etc) and long sleeve t-shirt in winter, polo shirt in summer, vest top if really hot. Have a selection of jackets/body warmers for differing weather conditions, but I really don't like going out if it is chucking it down (although I do have some waterproof jods if I can be bothered!).

Always wear gloves, whatever the weather. Short boots and half chaps usually, although I have some brilliant, really cheap plastic long boots that are warm and waterproof if I am going through the quagmire that is the bottom field!

Always have hi-viz if going out (on me and horse)

Always jods, proper boots, gloves, hat and appropriate layering call me a snob but last time I rode in trackies and incorrect footwear I broke my ribs comprehensively.....yes I'm superstitious :p hehe

Always: hat, gloves & boots (usually Brossards with chaps or Bromonts all depending on weather/time etc) and something hi-vis like gilet or tabard when out hacking.
With jodhs or breeches.
Topped with tidy polo shirt, fleece - and prob a Toggi or Mountain horse jackets, tho sometimes a Hi-vis waterproof insulated jacket for really cold/wet weather

BP when doing anything else apart from pottering about locally at home :)

:)

pair of jods/leggings depending on the weather, a teeshirt, always my nice leather gloves and tall leather boots :)

Then I add a scarf, waterproof and/or hoodie depending on the weather :)

Jodhs are things you wear to shows lol! I ride in whatever I'm wearing that day. At the moment that would be leggings + T-shirt + jumper. If I'm at work that day, I ride in my work clothes (always trousers!). Always hat + ariat short boots & chaps or Muck boots if it's cold. Waterproofs if wet. Gloves if cold. Variety of coats according to weather!

I think I am far too scruffy compared to some of you!
Winter: jods (navy, with holes in :o), fleece (stopped wearing hoodies at the yard), body warmer, coat if really cold, short boots (caked in mud and extremely scruffy at the moment) and bright blue chaps
Summer: navy jods, fleece and/or t-shirt, short boots and blue chaps
And always have a hi-viz hat band on as it holds my hat silk on :p

Boots (long/short with chaps), dark jodhs, tshirt....many many jumpers (must be coldest arena in west central scotland). Always boots, hat, gloves. Had foot stuck in stirrup once (was wearing wellies - those ones designed for riding in too) so NEVER again.

Jods, jod boots, bodyguard jacket, hi viz vest (never take it off jacket) HS1 and silk. Don't bother with chaps, it does't bother my legs.

mostly................riding jeans - pref musto or KTY - always long boots - cannot be arsed with boots & chaps - currently mountain horse or toggi - i have an extensive collection of gilets [ mostly smelling of damp dog] - always wear gloves - my carpal tunnell means that i have almost no grip in my hands - thats pretty much it - nothing exciting or expensive

Ride most days and can safely say I have never ridden in trackies! They are for dog walking and slobbing at home!

Always breeches, polo shirt, fleece or similiar, variety of jackets collected over the years, leather gaiters and ariats. Always wear gloves. Got into the habit of wearing yard or dog walking boots when around the yard to save my ariats. Even have thermals for when it's really cold too. Struggle to make myself wear gloves when not riding but equally fed up with trying to make my hands look reasonable when at work!

 trainers!

Winter I wear mountain horse sportive boots, jodhs (grey or brown normally), t-shirt or thermal vest, sports bra, fleece, coat (paramo, or goretex normally), skull cap, and warm gloves from decathlon.

Summer: same but I switch the coat for a gilet (just for the pockets), swap the gloves to string and leather ones, swap my long boots for short ones, and ditch the fleece.

Winter - Thin, mainly lycra jods with Ariat fleecy, pull on full seat jodhpur type things on top. T-shirt, polo neck jumper and sweatshirt for schooling. Add another fleece, winter coat and hi-viz for hacking, and add yet another sweat shirt and top coat for carriage driving (seriously!).

Summer - Mainly lycra jods and a shirt, T-shirt or a cheapo polo shirt which has nothing to do with horses. Who pays £40 for those Joules things in tack shops?

Boots - Grasmeres or occasionally short Ariats, these are worth every penny.

ETA I've also never owned a gillet - I can't see the point of them If you're cold your arms are cold too aren't they, put a coat on, and if you're hot, why would you wear a gillet?

Pretty much anything goes, I am the original scruff :) Skinny jeans usually, jodhs occasionally, shorts in the summer  :o

Generally what ever I wear, it has a coating of horse hair, bits of hay and liberal amounts of mud :D

Jods - love them. Would feel lost without them! Dublin brown boots or short boots with half chaps. Layer up depending on weather... And then gillet to top it off. Can't say I look smart though... All jods I've had for about ten years... Boots are muddy and scuffed... Jumpers tend to be very old with holes in. Rather spend money on the horse than on a £40 t shirt!! I do not go for looks... I'm all about safety and warmth!! Gloves and h/viz without fail if I'm hacking.

I agree..love JODS so comfy and do everything with the horses in them, always a gilet to put my keys/phone in the pockets. Joddie boots and chaps..occasionally short mountain boots. Hi viz waterproof fleece in winter. :p
