what do you wear for everyday riding?

I love jods!! I have a pair of skinny jeans which I wear sometimes but they fall down and flash my bum to drivers (wide and slow) and I can't get on with ankle boots always long boots! Apart from that any old top, always wear something long sleeved though as I always get attacked by tree branches out hacking and feel a long sleeved t shirt will protect me from so many things (apart from sweat patches).

I used to only wear hi vis if it was a bit grey out/getting dark but I realised it's not hard to put on a tabard! I bought a joules waterproof jacket off ebay too which has made me so happy the past few weeks!
 
Breeches (they hold the blubber in and I can still move ;) (.

Polo shirt/tee-shirt/long-sleeved top. If it's really cold, then it's a tee-shirt, a thin roll-neck jumper, a high-necked fleece, then one of x number of jackets. Like my Mountain Horse one as its very waterproof, comfy, and has body armour built-in!

Usually short boots and chaps.

Gloves if riding the Dizz. Had too many holes in my fingers when I've forgotten them!

Always a riding hat. I'm very fond of my family and friends ;) :cool:

I like my things to be clean and smartish. The Dizz is a beautiful horse and I feel very proud and privileged to ride her :D :D

Gilet perfect for spring autumn time hack out with pockets for keys phone etc...
 
Sticky bum breeches, tuffa boots, long sleeve rugby top, gillet, mountain horse body armour coat, hi Vis, gloves. If it's really warm may drop a layer but generally not! I find breeches comfy and hard wearing so suits me, however my coat is generally covered in slobber and everything else in white and brown hair so I still look like I climbed out of a muck heap!
 
whatever breeches I pick up off the floor, a cheapy polo shirt (usually primark so indont cry if he wipes his face on me), long boots and either a blouson jacket or a hoodie.
if its cold I put my under armour on.
I tend to look like a scruff unless I'm going somewhere for a lesson or clinic :)

Really hope you have some basket stirrups with those trainers/muckers. Injuries from hitting the deck with a stirrup round your ankle can be bad even in riding boots. Know someone who had risk of amputation and I've had a very severe sprain even in sprenger (flexible) stirrups in this situation. Obviously, risk of dragging is far more serious.
 
Jeans, toggi boots, hoody/tshirt/coat... Or all if it's that cold! Now and again I'll wear jods but I'm not keen on them anymore really.
 
jeans or jods (dark)

polo top with a fleece and jacket at the mo (just invested in a lovely red gilet for when the weather warms up)

always long boots (summer joddy boots with chaps)

always a hat!! leather gloves when i remember

hair always unkept :-)

always hiviz when hacking

i must say im rarely colour matching and even though i would love to look like one of these ladies you see in the mags looking lush in their riding gear, i never seem to pull it off nor can i afford it!!
 
Winter: Dark Jods/Breeches with long sleeve jumper and gilet. Lots of waterproofs in weather like this! Headband is a winter essential!

Summer: Jods and t-shirt. I don't do vest tops/halternecks or anything like that!
 
Summer: jods (prefer full seat), short-sleeved polo, boots/half chaps, gloves . . . hate riding in a coat so if it's chilly may put my Horka gillet on

Winter: jods (see above), layers (so prob short-sleeved polo topped with long-sleeved fleecey top of some sort), boots/half chaps, gloves and if it's really, really cold/wet and we're hacking my Mark Todd waterproof/fleece-lined blouson - don't do long coats either and don't mind wet legs

I don't double-layer socks as I feel they restrict circulation which kinda defeats the purpose. I have, though, seriously thought about getting some full chaps - waterproof/fleece lined - for riding/hacking in the winter.

And, yes, I always wear my hat.

P.S. Have been known to hack with a scarf on - I know it's potentially dangerous but I forgot I was wearing it and it was tucked into my coat
 
Im just fed up of trashing boots on the yard so would rathger trash a pair of £50 trainers!

I do put Jods and boots on if someones taking pics
 
Jods, always - even when I know I won't be riding - they're comfier (sp? doesn't look right!) to ride in than jeans and I can't stand trackies (personal preference, not meant to offend anyone!). Usually Ariat grasmeres if I'm feeling lazy/they're not too dirty from doing the stable, or sometimes I'll change into my long black boots.

Anything goes on top from strap top to ski jacket, depending on weather. If hacking, hi viz jacket/gilet/t-shirt in summer. Thinking of buying a hi-viz hoody for Autumn as they seem like a good halfway between tshirt and big coat!

This week I may add diving mask and snorkel.
 
Always, always jodhs, plus short boots and chaps, and at this time of weather a polo shirt, fleece and waterproof on top. Always gloves and a hat. In summer I'll ride in a polo shirt, but nothing that leaves my shoulders uncovered - feel too defenceless like that!

If my jodhs are all dirty, I wear ... dirty jodhs.
 
Have tried riding in things other than jods and cannot do it as my legs get chafed.

Always ride in jods, long boots and a very bright jacket.
 
Winter - Jods (black, navy, brown, grey - leave the beige ones for shows) long boots, fleece and body warmer or coat if it's really chilly. Toggi duckdown one is the snuggliest!

Summer, jods (same ones), polo shirt or vest top if it's really warm, short boots and chaps.

I didn't used to wear a long coat in wet weather but recently invested in a long shires one which wraps round my legs and covers saddle. Definetely a purchase as a result of this awful weather, but will also be useful at shows in the event of a down pour!

Don't ride in trackies/jeans, personal preference and I find riding in jeans soooo uncomfortable!
 
I always ride in breeches (usually always full seat and dark in colours - most of my breeches are either dark coloured checked or denim look), Ariat jodhpur boots and leather chaps and gloves. Hat of course, goes without saying.

In the winter - I tend to live in my Musto Combination coat, worth every penny. I also discovered Dublin thermal riding over trousers and am in love with them.

Then, depending on weather - t-shirts, jumpers and gilets. In the winter, I live in my Mark Todd gloves, faux fur hatband and Snuggy Hoods neckwarmers. Or in a matching hat/scarf/glove combo - I love Musto and Joules sets for a instant bit of cheerful colour. :D

For hacking I always wear high viz, despite having off road hacking. In the winter, I have a RockFish Rider pink hi-viz coat. For warmer weather, either just a plain tabard or a high-viz gilet with a hatband.

I only tend to wear jeans if I know I'm not riding. Footwear around the yard varies on what I'm doing - Ariat boots and leather chaps for riding, Dublin country boots for general yard work in the Spring/Summer and Ariat wellingtons or long Woof Wear boots in the Autumn/Winter. This winter, I am going to invest in a pair of Thermal winter riding boots - as I can't deal with my feet being cold.

I must admit, I tend to wear only horsey or outdoor brands brands (Musto, Joules, Equetech, Lazyjacks, Ariat, Chukka et al) - £40 might seem like a lot to spend on a t-shirt, but I find they wear and wash well and I actually don't have to keep replacing cheaper clothing items.

I'm certainly not mega smart - far too much effort! :D
