What do you wear riding? Post pics if you like!

when it warm so for me exceeding 15 degrees, when riding a vest and leggins instead of jodhs as they are much thinner. and when just doing jobs around yard or field i either wear a vest but roll it up or a bikini top, with shorts and whatever shoes i find, usualy end up wearing my long riding boots with shorts and a rolled up vest, i look so stylish in that :D

then in winter, thermowear on top and bottom, and my winter jodhs (much thicker) if i'm riding, if not riding then usualy jeans, ski socks and a long sleeve top and a hoodie and my lovely jacket. then boots wise, to the field i wear wellies, which are only put on for the trip to and from the field, then they are changed either into my riding boots if i'm riding or if im just walking around the yard doing jobs then i have recently taken to wearing uggs, not safe but so warm and comfy :)

I wear thermals! Thermal long sleeved top and thermal leggings. I feel cold very easily :o I wear the thickest thermal socks I can find, jeans a fleece jumper and a huge coat, thermal gloves and sometimes a hat. Never scarves though, I always feel that theyre strangling me.

In the summer I wear jeans and my work polo top. Normally wear a thin coat too unless its so hot I can't wear it.

Seem to treat the yard like a fashion show haha constantly have people take the mic out of me lol. Normally wearing kingsland, geresemi or eurostar breeches , long socks . In winter i wear a jumper or the ribbed jack wills long sleeve t shirts and a hoody , kingsland gilet and coat as SOOOO warm. In summer t shirt and hoody or just one jumper or sweat shirt. Boot wise have mark todd or ariat short boots and konig or dyon gaiters . Always wear a bit of makeup otherwise i feel like a bloke lol . Competing i wear de niro boots , whitaker or kingsland jods, kingsland shirt , animo jacket and kep hat.

normally it's a polo shirt, breeches (never jodhs), long boots and my tatty old Dublin blouson jacket.

if its cold then I might put on my heat holder thermal socks and a Nike base layer.

I don't care if I'm covered in mud and look like I've been dragged backwards through a bush :D

Ok here comes my confession,,,, I have recently discovered the joys of ,, LEGGINGS, arrghh

But I wear them for all yard duties, cool and comfy, or warm when worn with tights, and soo inexpensive, so I save my good stuff for when needed

Well, y'know. I like to make an effort....

But seriously, I usually look like this..Jumper of some description, Jodhs, chaps and short boots.

Breeches, long sleeve t shirt with polo shirt over and either down gilet or blouson jacket. Ariat jod boots and tredstep half chaps. I always wear a woolly hat of some sort round and about the yard - I get terrible earache - and gloves cos I'm a wuss :D

I used to work for a well known dressage rider so got into the habit of being smart. Cavallo/Pikeur/Ariat.....all bought 2nd hand.........but they have worn out and I have moved further into Exmoor,so now its thermals, old jeans or breeches,T's,fleeces and hoodies and muckboots.

HOWEVER. Boyfriend has just bought a heated waistcoat for his motorbiking........Its a bit big on me but I can now go outside without wearing six layers and feeling like an overstuffed sausage.

PS.Wearing it in the house too in order to cut back on the heating bill! I reckon its even comfy enough for bed...........stuff your sexy lingerie!

Jeans normally unless competing when I wear 'proper' clothes! And then on the top half depending on time of year/horse/where I'm riding then a tank top/polo shirt/rugby top/old XC top/hoody/fleece.

This is fairly standard for me at the yard...denim breeches, layers of vest tops, long sleeve tankers with fitted hoodie over the top, then a bog body warmer/coat for yard work, smaller fitted gilet for riding.

I did have long boots but the zip has gone and I can't make up my mind what boots to buy to replace them (not mending the zip asmthey are a bit short in the leg for me now anyway) so I have a pair of cheap short boots and gaiters as a stop gap. Will probably splash out on new boots at badminton or burghley thisnyear...somewhere I can go to try lots on, and hopefully get a show bargain!

Start of a ride when I'm cold, I have a smart coat

Then as I warm up I strip down to gilet

I am one of those people who wear makeup to the farm, but it's usally twinned with hair in a messy bun and the clothes I'm wearing. So my uniform mainly

But I've been known to go to the farm in wellies, pj bottoms and a vest to turn out in the mornings...

When it's cold and windy:

Long vest, rash vest with long sleeves, shirt, polo shirt, fleece jumper, puffy gilet and goretex jacket.
Leggings and goretex trousers and my Ariat boots...

I can't stand being cold!

In the 'summer' much the same but I lose the extra long vest and the goretex.

Winter = Jods, waterproof over trousers if I'm riding in the rain, long sleeved T-shirt with hoodie on top and a coat. Got a Zara Phillips winter hat (which I love!) to wear too when it's really cold.
Summer = Jods and a T-shirt (usually Joules or something) and a hoodie - I love my hoodies. :D

Oh well. Forget matchy matchy horse, matchy matchy me!

I have, a plum outfit, plum jods, plum micro-fleece.
A nautical outfit, red jods/navy jods, navy & blue joules striped top & red or navy musto coat.
2 brown outfits, brown spotty bum jods & mark todd fleece, or plain brown jods & craghoppers brown & beige micro fleece.
Black & grey with lime green, black jogs, black & grey striped equitheme rugby shirt & grey fleece.
Navy & gold, navy jods with navy and gold caldene rugby shirt
Royal blue & green, blue jods with royal blue & green spillers top.

Then to go with those I have 3 or 4 gilets, royal blue with grey trim, pink, few brown ones. I also have some nice polo necks to throw in the mix, cream, pink, baby blue. I also have a great pair of HKM Paris boots with a fur trim, I wear them turned up though, otherwise I would look a moron (more of one anyway)

I am a freak, I know this... I only wear minimal makeup to clients, if I'm on my own I don't, my hair always has to look ok though, figure that out.....

I own about one nice non-horsey outfit haha. God, I feel silly :D :p

In winter if it's just a feed and faff visit then jeans and t-shirt with jumper and my dublin blouson which is super warm, full waterproof chaps and wellies and gardening gloves with thin gloves inside to keep my poor hands warm. In summer it would just be jeans and t shirt and joddy boots, make up is never more than mascara and i wear that all day every day as i have really pale lashes and if i don't wear it i look like Boris Becker:eek::o
If i'm riding i wear jods or breeches,t shirt in summer and t shirt and jumper in winter. I don't worry about being fashionable, just comfortable, it's my age lol;)

OliviaSJ i'm so glad i'm not the only who has the mick taken out of them for looking to posh for mucking out lol!
Kingsland or christina sport breeces for yard! Various other kingland stuff but tons of hoodies on top in winter! Boots and gaiters for riding, toggi canyon or le chemaue wellies for yard work.

Show wise - de niros, kingsland or christina sport jods, kingsland shirt, animo jacket, gersemi gilet in winter!

I always wear make-up everyday whether I leave the house or not, including when I go to see the horses. This isn't out of vanity but because I have bad skin and there are very, very few people I can bear to see me without it.

glad im not the only one!! (im the only one on my yard though)

In winter I wear jods or jeans, short boots (sometimes with chaps, sometimes with long socks on top) a buff, a t-shirt and either a jacket or a hoodie/fleece. And I always have gloves (thermal SSGs).
In summer it's fairly similar, minus the fleece. I love those thermally sporty top things (no idea what/if there's a real name for them) but I've acquired a selection of cycling/skiing/mountaineering tops that keep you warm or cool (depending) and wick away the sweat ;)

Thank god I thought I was the only person to wear make up all the time! Not just cause I want to, more like I have to. Serious confidence issues, so I hope not everyone thinks its ridiculous to wear lots of slap up the yard! Lol

As for the clothes - I chuck on whatever I find in my wardrobe first thing in the morning! The trainers I wear must be able 3 years old, have no laces either. Not a very classy look!

I have a huge selection of riding wear! I hate to be cold but really do get hot when riding and so I need to be able to 'strip off' if necessary!!

Always wear breeches (various weights) and have thermals for underneath if needed (not needed thus far this winter!!). I have a selection of polos for the summer and long sleeved tops for cooler weather. Loads of different coats - waterproof warm, waterproof lightweight, cosy, fleeces, gilets in different weights etc etc!!! Recently have been wearing my hi-viz biker jacket out - BRILLIANT!

Always wear something hi-viz as well.

I could be wearing make-up - depends what I was doing before riding! ;) If I have come from work, then yes. If it is first thing in the morning, probably not! Hair 99% of the time is in a pony-tail or plait.

Oh, and always wear gloves, whatever the weather!!

I hack in wellies or generally yard boots

Old jodhs, t shirt, fleece, gilet and waterproof trousers in the winter. Nicer jodhs and a polo shirt in summer. I hate riding in jeans! And find they're too hot to work in, so never wear them to the yard.
