What do you wear for general schooling, lessons or just having a wee ride in the arena? Pictures are nice too but it doesn't matter!

Generally dark coloured jods, long boots and a top half appropriate for the weather - with or without a jacket - anything from a tee shirt to several layers of sweaters and a gilet and jacket. And a hard hat and gloves of course.

Always jods, usually a colour that matches my saddle pad ! Various things on top depending on weather, either long boots or short boots and chaps, never ride without my body protector hat and gloves as he is prone to shape throwing moments :)

Usually skinny jeans, a polo shirt, gaiters and boots.

Sometimes, this...

Whatever I have to hand. Good footwear essential, and long thick socks to protect my lower legs. I usually wear a practical outdoor jacket and scruffy trousers for outdoor jobs. As you can tell, I don't enter shows!

Oww!!! The chaffing..... Rode in shorts once took me weeks to recover from the nipping and chaffing.
I normally ride in my decathalon joddies. Some form of hoody or long sleeve too with a body warmer and a hi-viz jacket :) with my dubarry boots and aldi socks :)
And a comfy bra.... Sometimes pants!!

I mostly hack.. You know it's real heatwave if I have my hi viz t-shirt on with no body warmer!!

Whatever jodhs and socks are clean, polo shirt (usually short sleeved) then if it's colder some kind of fleece/hoodie, then coat/gilet if I need it. If it's really cold I might wear a skin under my polo shirt. And a sports bra if I'm doing anything without a proper body protector!

I have ridden in short shorts and trainers before (cantering round the xc at hom) but I was bareback so avoided chafing and stirrup problems :p It was my only option as both my riding boots and riding clothes were soaking wet as got dragged into the water jump by a naughty kids pony whilst leading them and trying to keep said kid on top (at this point I couldn't drive and my mum was out so no going home to get clean riding stuff!)

For me its Ariat terrain boots & mesh half chaps for summer/neoprene ones for winter, riding socks, riding tights (jodhpurs or breeches with zips and hook waist bands seem so uncomfortable now!), various types of sports tops (thermal/ long sleeved/short sleeved/windproof/sleeveless style) depending upon weather.

If cold, then extra layers. If warm, less layers. If wet then waterproof coat/trousers. I wear a headband under my hat when cold to keep my ears warm.

Always gloves & a riding hat too.

Jeans, breeches or whatever trousers I've got on ... boots and whatever top feels appropriate for the weather from a vest to several ski layers and a down jacket

Jeans - depending on what I am doing. I wear skinny jeans for work riding but tend to wear boot cuts at home. Walking boots and chaps at work, trainers at home... Top half is whatever I have that covers all the way down to my wrists. I can't remember the last time I wore jods that wasn't at a show. Many many years ago.

I can't go commando though, too uncomfortable so lace boxers all the way for me.

Skinny jeans unless I am competing, I have very long legs and finding breeches that are long enough that don't cost the earth is a pain.

I wear jods which always seem to be black, long mountain horse boots, hat and normally gloves. Tops are generally long sleeved t shirt, hoody and body warmer. I wear the same hacking and schooling.

Was talking about this with a friend the other day. We agreed we missed the days when we were kids (a long time ago) when for a lesson you always wore canary jodhpurs (that was the only colour there was), short brown boots, shirt and tie and hacking jacket. And I had a brown velvet hat with elastic under the chin.
I am sure I looked much smarter than I do now - denim jodphurs, long boots, and long sleeved t-shirt or jumper. And being May body protector for another layer of warmth.

Breeches, usually tan or black. Boots and chaps, and varying thickness tops. I buy breeches from decathlon (my comfiest pair were £9.99 and smartest pair for comps were only £29.99!) too half I stuck to running/walking gear appropriate to the weather. I wear an air jacket and burn easily so at the moment it's long sleeve mesh running tops. They cover my arms and come high up the neck (Never buy the branded 'rider wear' as just can't justify the cost against what I use already) Every year I'm determined not to have a t shirt tan... every year I fail! And obviously hat and gloves :)

Winter- Brown Breeches, brown Ariat Windermere's, old vneck jumper with Regatta fleece over the top with either waterproof riding coat or gilet depending on temp and rain. Summer swop to brown devon pros and gaiters with Polo shirt. My horse wears teal or terracotta le mieux and I try to match it with woof wear boots and whatever top I'm wearing although I mostly only hack and wear a air jacket with hi-viz waistcoat over the top which somewhat ruins the effect.

Aldi jodhs and ariat yard/riding boots - I think I would live in them if I could. With knee length socks.
Top is weather dependent but polo shirt in summer or a long sleeve sports top with a fleece/hoody/gilet on top the rest of the year. It's got to be pretty awful weather before I put my coat on though.

Breeches or the Aztec Diamond leggings I have. Long sleeved top, short sleeved tshirt, polo shirt etc. all tucked in and with a belt if with breeches. Will wear a gilet if cold and a coat in the depths of winter but I get quite warm when I ride. Always riding boots, my only functional boots at the moment are my Deniro show boots so they're being used daily until I shell out for more Ariats or my other long boots are fixed. Always put my hair in my hat and wear gloves too. I like to be presentable and would only wear breeches for a lesson, wouldn't wear the leggings regardless of if they are equestrian ones.

Always long boots, the most relaxed I would go in the footwear department is my tuffa country boots. As for the legs, whatever I have to hand. I went through a stage of wearing running tights as meant no awkward sweaty bum look when I got off. Jeggings as I have loads of them, but recently after some sticky bum jods saving me I've found myself only riding if I have some form of stick on my legwear!!
On the top, anything that won't show my Michelin tyre.

Jods and jod boots with chaps. Then on top really depends on the weather! T-shirt in warm weather, I have a few old 'horsey' t-shirts that I use mainly but do sometimes wear a long sleeved top or shirt too. Then a hoodie and/or coat if it's terrible. Hi-viz gillet if hacking.

I also have waterproof breeches from decathlon if it's raining! And hat and gloves obviously :)

Jods, country boots and a T-shirt/jumper (weather dependent)

I have a 'farm wardrobe' at home and a good wardrobe. My good clothes don't come to the farm, so I have a load of T-shirts and hoodies and jumpers that are specifically for the farm- although these are pretty much all more expensive than my 'good' clothes!

Jods, polo, belt depending on what jods, long socks and my posh ('') boots ;D I also wear a gilet or coat, or sometimes BOTH if it's cold, gloves, hat, body protector for jumping or if I'm riding home alone.

Same - although the temptation when you've run out of jods!

Unless competing always dark coloured pikeur breeches, generally with a polo or thin long sleeve plus gilet. I get quite hot so generally don't wear coats unless raining or very cold. Always wear gloves. Lightweight uvex helmet. Usually wear long leather boots but very occasionally will hack in my artiat riding trainers and gaiters.

Full seat breeches (my preference!), long boots, hat & gloves. Top depends on weather, but usually a polo shirt of some description or long sleeve base layer type thing (baggy is best!). Body protector depending on the activity.

I cannot ride without gloves, just feels horrible! Sometimes will ride in skinny jeans if I've come straight from work and I'm in a rush - don't love it!

Summer - brown riding tights, brown Ariat long boots, a polo shirt and a soft shell/light jacket if necessary. Hi vis waistcoat on top without fail.

Winter black riding tights black and hi vis coat and black Muck Boot riding boots. Hi vis waistcoat on top without fail.

And gloves, always gloves - no day is too hot for gloves.
