.... when riding in this glorious weather?


I have the worlds whitest legs because of jodphurs, even tho my arms are a lovely shade of brown!
Wish it wasn't sooo uncomfortable to ride in shorts!
 
today, i worn shorts and long boot's & a strappy top :) nice hey... I looked like someone from the little house on the priory :) :) hotter day tomorrow "loving this weather"
 
i ride in my jods and a wicking t-shirt.. i didnt ride with my body protector as it was toooo hot! i would never wear shorts.. but thats because i saw my friend fall off wearing some and she cut all the way down her leg, because they werent covered.. it wouldnt have been 1/2 as bad if she was wearing jods
 
Even in the evening when it is cooler?

Another line to that then is whats the best excercise to keep a horse fit when its so hot in the day?
 
I ride early morning/early evening in weather like this so I still wear jodhpurs, t shirt, BP and hi viz when I hack out.

Looking out the window I think right now would be a good time to go riding, much cooler!
 
When I was younger ie. late teens early 20s, I used to go out in bikini top, riding hat, joddy boots and shorts!! Admittedly we lived on the moor so I didn't have to worry too much about shocking people also I used to hack out bareback. Wouldn't think about doing it now (20 years later) as a. I don't live on the moor now and am more likely be arrested for crimes against decency. Oh those were the days. :)
 
I cheated and wore some 3/4 leggings (v thin and no inner seam) and put my 1/2 chaps on over when I got on, sleeveless top, to be fair I am always hot sokinda used to it (muck out in a t-shirt in mid winter!
 
jods and long boots whatever the weather and always a t-shirt even in the hottest weather, i like my skin to stay on my body if I fall off:eek:
remember wearing long rubber boots with shorts at college and getting a major bullocking from the instructor, who then laughed when it felt like i was pulling a layer of skin off with said boots:o

OUCH .... I guess tanned legs are only good if the skin remains attached! ;)
 
I ride in shorts and long boots! Although was caught out at back in March when it was roasting, I hacked my cob out in shorts and short boots and forgot there was a load of workmen doing renovations on a nearby house :eek: luckily the cob has a spanking driving trot which came in very useful! :D :p
 
We had a nice slow hack out today. I wore long boots, Jods, polo T shirt, body protector and Hi Viz gillet, I was a tad hot to say the least.

I liked the idea of shorts and a strappy top but decided that possibility accessorizing this outfit with tarmac, stones, cuts and grazes would not be a good look:D
 
jods and long boots or short boots and chaps or gaitors and then just a vest top. there's not much point for me to ride in shorts (if it didn't hurt!) because i'd always wear some form of long boot so only a small part of my legs would be on show anyway
