Feed you lami's as an extra for when they are in because of snow etc.....

Lami pony has been good but he gets board. He is IR so can't be sugary.

Thankies.

Get him a decahedron treat ball and buy a bag of high fibre chunky nuggets. The ones we use were called badminton hifibre complete but I think baileys have taken them over and its been rebranded - i think it might be their fibre plus nuggets! I need to find out as need some more! They are great as lovely and chunky so take more effort to come out of treat ball than smaller stuff, and low sugar. We did this for our laminitic cushings boy for years as he could only have limited turnout. I still feed them now to our others in their dinners as they all love them. And they are much cheaper than treats as they are a feed and come in a 15/20kg bag. :)

Thanks, the hi fibre nuts do have sugar in so will have to see how much. That's a good idea with the chaff in with it.

I don't feed 24 hour soaked hay in winter when its frosty or snowy as it can cause colic and shock there guts.
