OK, here's mine:

Today, despite having a big, deep cut on his leg that is hugely swollen and obviously very sore:( (YO picked a piece of tooth:confused:out of it last night), when I called him in the field, Ozzy pricked his head up, and trotted straight to me, giving a cute little 'hello I am pleased to see you' snort as he did so. Bless him. Little things like that make me realise how lucky I am to be a pony owner :D

Any other little things that your horses / ponies do that just make you think 'ahhhh, I love my pony' ??? :D:p

When he looks at me with his great big dopey ears flopping everywhere and gives me a nudge as if to say "Cheer up Mum, it might never happen..."
and when I am grooming him, he tries to groom me back and nibble me - would be cute if he was a pony, but all 16.2 ISH of him is a little interesting!!

Everything that Kelly does makes me want to cuddle her but specifically the way when we walk onto the yard, she whickers and if you "whicker" back, she replies in the same way! And also how she twitches her nose to get in my hoody pocket to see what I've got :)

My ponies a crazy fool in respects of riding, and i always seem to end up frustrated with her. However, when i go to dismount, my anger fizzles out.
My pony is very pretty and she has a habit of many cheeky, naughty things-which makes me love her more.
-She rings the old-fashioned firebell when tied up, sometimes causing stirs at from the yard managers.
-All she wants to do is jump, and she never lets you down when she does as shes a cracking jumper.
-She can sometime be naughty to catch until you sit on the floor in a mock strop, then she comes over and lets you catch her.
-She drinks her water in the most disgusting way, she almost plummets her whole face into the bucket then insists on dribbling it all over you.
-She spits polos out. Kind people offer her polos, thinking its a nice gesture, until they get it spat right back at them. She HATES polos, or anything minty for a matter of fact.

So, she completly melts my heart. And now i have melted your brains with my boring story. I have a knack for doing that.

When I drive into the yard (passed ponies field) and Fidley trots beside me!

Had to laugh at Tilly as she is so inquuisitive and can't leave the fire extinguisher alone. I now have to be careful where I tie her up and ensure she isn't near it.
Or, when your riding and she drops her head to the ground before putting in a emergency stop - just checking that mums alert :P

Loving the stories! They are really making me smile :)

Especially the thought of someone doing a 'sitting down pretend strop' to catch their pony!

Keep them coming!

:)

I went down to check on pony and fill up the water.

As I was pouring the water I heard a kerfuffle - Pony had broken through leccy fence. Front legs on wrong side, back legs between top and bottom tape.

Cue me grumbling at him and him stood with his ears forward, cheeky grin, butter wouldn't melt.

I then chased him round and he tried to run BACK through the fence 3 times. I eventually caught him and he stood nuzzling me/nudging for food :P.

Gotta love him.

I've moved the limits of the horses pasture (electric fencing) and Bregs (after a few days, thicko!) worked out that he can now walk up to the horse and look in the windows.

It's a bit scary walking to the kitchen all bleary eyed for some coffee, filling the kettle and looking up to his big dopey face!

I know he's waiting for the day someone leaves the door open :p

When he's lame/sore/injured/fly bitten, he just looks at me with massive shiny eyes and looks all sad, and like he expects me to make it all better right away
In a dressage lesson when I'm learning how to ask him for a movement (shoulder in ATM) which neither of us have done before, as soon as he gets it, from then on whenever I give any slightly similar aids to that, he will leap into whichever movement he has most recently learn- I love that he is so earnest and eager to please! (although it is kind of annoying when you're just asking him to halt, and he immediately starts turning on the forehand just to show you he can! :p )
After schooling or a lesson when he gets praised by me or my RI when I get off, he knows he has been good, and nods his head up and down, flaps his upper lip and closes his eyes! :D
He always frisks the farrier's pockets, chews his belt loops, and takes tools out of his apron :D (farrier is not as amused as i am :o :p )
I have just loved getting to know him since I got him- as he gets more at home he has got so much more confident and more of his character comes out every day, i love it :)
Oops sorry, were we only meant to give one :o

when my pony gallops up to me in the field
when he tries to find polos on you
when you leave the yard he stands at the gate watching you as if to say don leave me
when he is curled up in a little bundle in the stable and jumps up to say hello when you come down to see him
:)
