What does "Cherif" mean (arab showing) also Intermediate?

I was told by a top showing person that it was started as a HOYS for part bred arabs, as they don't have classes for these at the real HOYS.

It is one of my aims to qualify for this with Axel as they also have dressage there too. Unfortunately he's far too naughty when I'm showing him especially when we have to all canter round together with 10 other horses lol!

Cherif horses need to have a minimum of 12.5% arab blood (proven by papers).
There is a championship at the end of each year, and usually the winner is also successful in hack/riding horse classes at HOYS. It is a pretty higih standard at the championships.

for cherif she would have to be registered as a part bred arab, but doesn't need to look arabby to be successful just have good conformation, movement and a good ride for the judge.

Yes, she doesnt look that araby, she is AAx TB so perhaps not. Any more thoughts on her as an intermediate?? Please

I wouldn't worry about that as Part-breds and Anglo's shouldn't look Araby - they should look like a 'type' i.e. Hack or Riding Horse or Hunter or whatever they were bred for.

To qualify for the Cherif Champs your horse has to be registered with the AHS. A Part-bred is classed as having 12.5% Arab blood or more (this is worked out from the pedigree)

She is for sale so was looking at the internediate section and partbred sections of Horsequest.com, and she looks similar in type and action to a lot of them.
Her trot is phenomenal, am not knowledgeable about showing so was trying to gauge how others perceive her?
Seems she would get more interest if sold in these sections/to that sort of buyer rather than selling as a bog standard PBA.
