What does everyone do for a job?

I was an Intelligence Officer but retired early so now potter around delivering school meals in my little van to country schools. I'll never be rich doing it but it's so great not to have the constant pressure that my previous job had.:)

With my business partner, I own a chain of estate/lettings agencies in our neck of the woods. Lettings is my side of the business (Magic Melon I feel your pain, being a Property Manager is not easy). Lots of long hard hours, lots of stress, but wouldnt do anything else. The plus side is that its financially great, I can be very flexible if I need time off, and Mini TX gets sponsorship.

Its really interesting seeing what other people do and some people have some really fantastic jobs.

Mines boring :)
I work in a surveying dept for a council, I`m the do it all girl :D spreadsheets and typing and the most important think, making everybody smile lol
I love my job, i love the people i work with and thats the most important thing imo

I'm a Research Scientist working in a small group trying to prevent/treat mucositis in patients undergoing chemo/radiotherapy. In many cases it means treatment has to halt, so lessening chances of survival and there is currently no treatment for intestinal mucositis, which is what I'm working on. Absolutely love it, even if it does mean sacrificing many a Friday evening to process human tissue!

I work for my dad's company 2 days a week, boring old secretary/receptionist/anything else that needs doing. things get added to my job description every day. It helps towards paying the bills but for a job that was supposed to be short-term, 8 years later, i'm still there. would love to do something different, but lord knows what, and it's a cushy number, so very hard to give up!!

I'm in a very similar situation, been working f/t at my dad's co. for over 10 years and that was only supposed to be short term!! A few changes have occurred recently which I am extremely unhappy with and I am so unhappy here now, even if it does have some advantages. I would love to train as an (equine) physiotherapist but not sure how/if I could!

I am a ruminant nutritionist. I work on the technical team for a big Agriculture company in Cheshire, I help formulate dairy, beef and sheep diets and provide support to the farmers, sales reps and vets. I also get to go to lots of conferences (often abroad!) it is pretty awesome. I am working from home at the moment tho as have broken my leg :-(

WOW, what a fab job to do :D sounds really interesting, and how did you break your leg?

I work in agriculture on the arable side selling seed and fert, and invoicing.......

Excuse my ignorance but would that be for like MI-5? That would be a pretty cool but full job!

I work part time doing admin work for a sports company and I'm about to start uni doing criminology after having decided to move away from horses as a career :)
Hoping to do something along the lines of working with young offenders, a probation officer, a solicitor etc.

Yeah it is really interesting. I was very lucky really as other than my degree in animal science I had no previous experience of formulating diets, my boss wanted someone who he could train from scratch which is why I get to go to so much training...although I have had to cancel it all this month.

I broke my leg falling off at somerford BE event. Got a bit deep to the last fence in the SJ which unfortunately was a big treble and it all ended up in a bit of a mess when my very genuine mare tried her very hardest to jump all 3 bits which resulted in her nose diving onto the floor. I slid off and she stood on the my knee fracturing my tibial plataeu. On the mend now after having it pinned, just a waiting game. Can't have my splint off for another 6 weeks so no walking or driving until then.

I'm a residential project worker. I looking after young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behavior. Every day is different and never dull :)

I breed Miniature horses, it is great fun and they are soooo cute. I was a show jumpers groom for 10 years which was amazing fun and travelled loads. Stupidly went and got married so it all had to end.
P.S I am also full time mother/wife.

I'm a presenter and conference facilitator; hosting live events, awards, doing voice-overs, bar mitzvahs, hunter trial commentaries - you know: anything that pays money and is vaguely legal....:D
