I'm hopefully getting a baby soon(dependent on veting) and really need to loose weight before I back him. What does everyone do in winter to get rid of those pounds?

Havnt ridden since november properly, but i muck out 6 each day then think i have done enough

This wk the wii fit is coming out,i am gonna stop pigging myself and get on with riding my boy,it always puts a smile on my face and makes me feel good so i need to force myself to beat the weather
work, life! please dont say you have bought a size 10 hoping to shrink into it? it just doesnt happen! you should buy something that will carry your maximum weight not your minimum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lmao,absolutely not
,clothes are not a problem to me,i live in jodhs and they stretch and suck
I havent got a small horse. To make 16.3ish warmblood with good bone. but i want to loose weight to be happier about myself, and also to take the strain off his joints while hes a baby. I have no doubt that he will be able to carry me, but that doesn't make it right for me to be over weight!
I feel like a gigantic blob! I lost 1 and half stone since getting Tia just over 18months ago but when I fell off and fractured my vertebra in Sept last year I spent 5 weeks lying on my back and then havent been able to do much so have put back on 8lbs
I'm gutted. I really need to find some exercise to do as well as riding but I struggle to fit going to the gym in around work and stables. Am thinking of getting a cross trainer to use at home but I dont have much to spend and cheap ones will be rubbish.
Llisten up everyone, Hadfos is being very modest here. What she does to keep fit is - all day, every day - try to help me with my Magic Disappearing Siggy Strip! I bet she's lost 3 stone and aged 100 years in the last week alone bless her (sorry to pinch thread!) x
I broke my L2 vertebra and have titanium rods from L1 to L4. I don't know if you have the rods? I saw a physio after I left hospital - Was referred by my consultant surgeon. They both said I should do pilates to strengthen my core. Most sports are at least partly dependent on a strong core, especially riding. It helps to support your back if it is weak.
I would take it very slowly if you have rods in there. I find running very hard and I certainly would never run on roads because of the jarring effect. I wouldn't use rowing machines either because of the bending action. I would go to a gym and explain about your back and if they are good they will taylor-make a programme for me. One example is that they have me doing partial sit-ups not full ones. My surgeon said that swimming and walking and pilates was the way to go. Good luck!
