Hi this maybe a really stupid question but going to ask anyway.
I have a 17 year old welsh trotter my first horse, and everytime i go to see her she come straight to me lowers her head and puts her nose on to my nose and blows air at me. Why is she doing this and what does she want ?

She also follows me around all the time i am with her, it is a total flip to what she was like a few weeks ago i dont understand:confused: she is such a sweetheart now to what she was.

please any answers would be great :)

Horses like routine and if its you that is going every day to see her she sees you as a trusted Human that provides probably FOOD and yes she obviously likes you too. Horses are very sense animals and she is having a little explore and is curious. To summarise she likes you. My boy often sniffs my pockets as he isnt stupid and knows thats where the food is. Body language....v important. Good luck.

Why would she change so fast a few weeks ago it was like she hated me now she is glued to me. I haven't done anything different apart from ride her.

She probably just didn't trust you at first. Whatever you've been doing, it's obviously the right thing! :o She trusts you now. :D

When I got Mollie last year, she didn't trust me (or anyone) at first. I remember coming home and saying, "My horse hates me." :( Then one day, she saw me, whinnied and came trotting over... and I knew we'd turned a corner. :)
