My pony is retired and has had her shoes removed. The farrier trims her feet every six weeks and charges £25. Is this a fairly common amount for a trim?

£25 but I'd happily pay more. Farrier is great, is kind and patient with my not easy pony. Is always on time and keeps in touch xxx

Gawd knows! I cannot work out what the heck my farrier charges for anything as it varies so much! Ponies don't get trimmed every time just as and when they need it but always alongside horses being shod and a trim can add anything from £20-£35 onto my bill

£20 for a trim in Oxon with a brilliant farrier. However there are nine horses all done at the same time varying from barefoot to a full set of shoes so he isn't just coming out for one trim.

My old farrier charged me £10 per trim but I expect that was mates rates. The current one charges £20.

Thanks for the replies. Seems like a fairly standard charge then. He does shoe my friends horse at the same visit.
