Please show me your rising 2 year olds!

Had mine about 6 months now, he will be 2 in June...first real youngster I have owned so would love to compare with every one else's out there :)

Also, what are your plans for them this year - some ground work, showing or nothing at all and leaving them to be babies?

Ted and the bay filly Adorable Alice. Two in May and June 2013. Ted is
16h+ already, Alice is barely 15h, the ground manners are in, Alice better than Ted and much brighter in the IQ department.

Alice will be introduced to the lorry and possibly taken to a local show for a led hunter class. Ted, who has confidence issues will be handled daily but without being pushed out of his comfort zone, he is going to take a lot of time to come right.

You can see mine (Welsh Sec C) if you go to his Facebook page (link beneath my sig!)

He will be getting gelded in 3 weeks, then just doing more of what he already knows - leading, including trotting in hand, standing nicely to have legs hosed and tail washed, he'll probably wear a bit again, and any other baby things that occur to me. Possibly a show in hand if I ever manage to refloor my trailer!

Do you have any pics of yours? :)

Awww I love Ted and follow your posts, I can't imagine having a youngster so huge, mine badly scrapes 14 HH at the moment!!

Well I just love Welshies and yours is no exception, what a stunner!! Here is a pic of mine - Ben. Sorry if pics are huge I don't know how to resize...

He's been bitted briefly and introduced to his in hand bridle and hoping to do maybe a few local shows and just continue his general handling groundwork etc.

Finn is 2 in May and is ID x. He is about 15.3 at the moment and is a total dude. He has been walked out in traffic and had general day to day handling. Had his first dental check this week and was unfazed. Apart from feet trimming and abit more groundwork he will be just out being a baby and growing some more.

This is my home bred filly. I was so pleased with her brother now 9 I bred another one. Although looking like a native she is actually 7/8TB/1/4AQH and stands around 15 hands.

Mine looked like a welfare case no matter what I did. Scraggy and gangly. By 5 she was stunning strapping great dressage horse.

My American Saddlebred x Section D filly, 2 in May currently 14.2/3.

Losing her winter coat now, looking forwards to seeing a sleeker version when the weather warms up as seeing more of the welshie at the mo!

Just realised I don't have any very recent pics which is poor form - must take some!
My gelding is 2 in May, currently standing 16.2hh and will continue his walks in hand. Maybe a local show and the odd bit of bomproofing type stuff, first bath, etc.

He's a big horse in body but not in mind - clever but clumsy and still inclined to try and hide behind me when anything "scary" happens!
