we are thinking about getting a 3rd dog in the next year or so, but not 100% on what breed.

We have Chimo the Inuit (girl) and T bone the JRT (boy). they are both 3.

Chimo is really (really) playful, full of beans and loves everyone. t bone is occasionally grumpy with other dogs but gets over it.

i think we would get a boy dog and although we have a jrt i am not keen on small dogs.

new doggie will do obedience, agility (when old enough) and go on big walks and on boats. so a pretty active life

i prefer pointy nosed dogs

any suggestions?

i do like GSD's and OH likes Spaniels, not sure about the corgie though!! :)

i have always wanted a doberman, they are so lovely!

so many choices!!

A Setter !!!! I have one Red and one Red and White although I also like Gordons and English.
I have always had Setters all mine have been friendly, social, love other dogs, love playing, love riding on quads. and standing on the front of boats. swimming in lakes and rivers .running on the beach and both loved doing agilityand will walk all day long never tire out .And best of all they love people especially you .
I have ridden out with mine and they can keep up with big horses and are sensible enough not to get trodden on. Mine still are up for a long walk and they are 10 and 12.
There is not as much grooming as you would think and so long as you brush them every couple of days they are fine (As long as you are not planning on doing Crufts!!)
One of mine was a regular visitor into the local hospital where he would cheer up the patients and just loved being fussed.
Setters are great!!

How can you resist these faces?! No one can resist these faces, even CC :P ;)

Swwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeet!!!!!!!!!

OK Frankie, while I love dobes, there is one at our club and his approach to agility is very entertaining, but also terrifying to watch!!! :p likes to jump from a stand-still, all four feet off the ground and hurl himself off great heights :p

we are currently looking after a golden retriever, and i dont think they are for us, she is lovely but perhaps not all there, she ran in into our outside chimney thing (which is massive so not like you can miss it) on the walk we went on she lay in a scabby muddy puddle and rolled in it (Chimo will run and jump in mud but never rolls) and she drools which is foul..... so no dripply dogs!!

the corgis were very cute, but not sure they are right either!!

Chimo loves swimming so a swimmer is good.

Jake was a demon for lying in puddles for a drink-it's not just retrievers!

Spaniels are generally keen on swimming but it depends on the individual-Jake wouldn't really swim but his brother won't get out of the water.
