My new saddle arrived today. I've got a manky old Cottage Craft girth to use for the moment, but I'm really not very keen as it's quite narrow and not very soft. I don't want a really expensive one, and was looking at the Keiffer Neoprene ones. Anyone got any comments or suggestions? I don't want one with elastic at the end (nearly all of them seem to have elastic).

i've got a thorowgood with elastic in the middle, which is a very nice girth. also, old fashioned Stubben string ones are great, no elastic, very wide, very comfy.
personally, i prefer the natural materials to the neoprene ones, having worn a wetsuit i know how horribly sweaty and insulating it is.

Ive herd the same about the stubben string girths - Ive got to get a long one to go with my Barrie as it has short girth straps. for my Isabel I had a wide shaped wintec "webby" one that I always had a sleeve on,

The Kieffer ones are nice, but do make them sweat. I use a Thorowgood one on my jump saddle, and a wintec one on my Dr, both are fab.
