What dressage saddle do you have and why?

Go by what is best for your horse, i tried a WOW at your horse live on the sim and loved it, on board my horse, both she and I hated it!

Ditto that!

I also tried a Sue Carson (well tried two types) - the harmony fitted me but the twist was too narrow for my fatty, and the expression (i think it was called) had a wider twist which fitted my fatty but was too wide for me.

I tried a harry dabbs - pony hated it.
Tried an ideal jessica, no good, and a suzannah - fitted well and she went ok in it, but she went better in the barnsbys.
Tried a barnsby N-gage - fine but i felt exposed in it, finally tried a barnsby kanter with n-gage blocks (previously specially made for another horse). Only ridden in 5 or so times, so basically BN and fitted both of us like a glove.

I've got a Butet dressage saddle, flat seated and not much by way of blocks. I really love it actually, had tried the ones with big blocks (Devoucoux and Ideal and Albion) but in the end, I sit up better and ride better with the flat seat and they're really lovely light saddles that fit all of my TBs.

I have the New version of the Wintec Isabel Werth and I LOVE it :D The New Cair system is fab, not like the awful old version which is rock hard. Puts you in a fab position and is lightweight. No cleaning too ;)

Ideal susannah, fits horse and me like a glove. Lovely and light. Easy to maintain and he goes well n it. It's brought us both on so much and helped him bulk out.

Stubben - it came with my horse, never bothered to change it as it fits her so well. I absolutely hate the thing, and have finally decided to sell it!

I have an Amerigo on my WB as its about the only saddle I've tried that doesn't move on him, plus its been easy to get adjusted when he's changed shape. As I'm petite I find it supportive although I would prefer smaller knee rolls.

The pony has a Wintec Isabell as he's young and changes width on a very regular basis! There is some movement on it so eventually I will be looking to "upgrade" and have tried some Equipes and Amerigos on him, but can't justify them at the moment!

Got my usual saddle fitter out with a selection of dressage saddles - ended up with an Albion SLK which fitted my lad best and also me.

Great way to try a wide selection of saddles if you have someone local to you that offers this service.

I have the kieffer ulla saddle. I choose it because it fits my horse really well and it has a nice deep seat for me :D.
The saddle co ones really are hard to ride in and don't lend themselves to putting you in a great position so if I was you I'd try before you buy!

i have a second hand, quite old Albion Ledgend i love it so comfortable fits horse beautifully and she goes great in it, dosnt have much in the way of knee blocks which took alot of getting used to and would still rather have a k2  a girl can dream!!
