What dressing should I put on my horses leg ..

My Mare struck into her front leg and has ripped the hair off and has a small cut, I've been doing all the usual washing with hibi scrub, barrier cream, wound powder etc and a scab has formed but its still a tad wet its certainly nothing to be overly concerned about, I'm a hypochondriac where my horse is concerned so when I say it's small it really is!

I'm off xc tomorrow and the scab is exactly where the overreach boot will be, it's been advised I put vet wrap over the cut and then the boot won't rub the scab off and get infected.

Yeah I would put a little covering on it and vet wrap over it but take it off after competing and keep putting your wound cream on but leave it uncovered andd let it heal itself.

Cover it with cut'n'heal and don't pick at it.

I wouldnt go. sorry but horses health is more important esp if it got more dirt in it etc.

Micropor dressing patch and vet wrap.

I would think a dressing would be hard to keep on. How about a bit of Vaseline to stop boot rubbing, although this may soften scab!
