Since she is currently sharing my other horses drop bridle and it is a bit small for her, now she is back in full work I guess I should buy her her own bridle!
Here she is:

I am after something a bit different. Preferably rolled and patent with comfort head piece but if its something that looks really different and smart I would consider it.
Don't want a wolds bridle or a elevator.

I have been looking at the icelandic bridles as they look stunning but worried it won't fit as not sure how big icelandic ponies are but my girl is size full.

love these:

Or not sure on FSS on ebay? As apparently you can get this in drop:

Any other reviews or suggestions?

My youngster is in a drop comfort poll evison bridle. It's English leather and for the price (79 including delivery) I am very happy with the quality. They will also exchange parts if certain bits don't fit

The Icelandic bridle looks like the noseband was an added extra and placed on top of the main bridle.

Look for a quality leather in the colour you want. Also to consider is that the drop noseband should really only be used with a cheeked bit otherwise there is the possibility of the drop strap sliding up over the rings of the bit.

Icelandic horses ( not ponies, you'd be lynched in Iceland for calling them ponies :) ) go up to about 14hh max, so are pony/ cob size and the noseband is seperate from the rest of the bridle....so I guess that is not going to work for your mare.

Ah ok so icelandic bridles off my list.
I was thinking of evison but I prefer it when the rolled leather goes over the head so the buckles are on top of the head so it looks less bulky. Thats what puts me off of wolds as well.
