What else do I need?.... for new arrival

mane comb, plastic/rubber curry

as fror the greyness! .. cowboy magic stain remover is fab for a shampoo ocean blue is amazing stuff, for the tail use a coat gloss on it, it will make it easy to brush, and acts as a dust/dirt repellant.

possibley a set of bandages, and a tail bandage.. must be time to get to a few shows and your want thoose leggies clean;)

OMG... a mane comb/brush of course ahh ha ha ha see... that is why I posted up... lol

Thanks for the heads up for the greyness items... hmmm going to be fun me thinks lol... will get hold of some of it then.
coat gloss - same as mane and tail then?... that was always in my grooming kit.
 
oh and scissors!

yes i use the canter coat shine its much better as a detangler than the conditoner one!

How about baby wipes? - Always useful!
Ditto the Cowboy Magic Greenspot Remover, and Showsheen too - anything to help keep them clean(ish)!
Mane and Tail conditioner? (although you could just use the Showsheen)
I take it you still have your riding hat/whip/gloves/chaps/boots etc?

rightyho about the coat spray... will see what I can get for him I still need to grab a grooming bag or box yet.
Yes baby wipes - I used these to wipe Merls eyes, nose and bottom - seperate ones of course lol

Bot knife too - that time of year is rapidly coming... :( although I enjoy getting them off find it relaxing and it gives me good time to check the finer area's over.

Oh god still soo much to get..... I am going to be skint for age's now aren't I. lol.... ahh well rather spend it on a horse than rubbish I would usually.


Yes, still have all my riding gear although had to get new hat but am also going to get myself some up to date gear.
but horse gets kitted out first :D :D :D :D
 
Thank You also to everyone that has given me masses of support and help over the last couple of years especially when I lost my lad... he was my life my everything!

I shall have Mr Toby with me for his 2nd anniversary and I am planning on going for a quite bimble alone gather my thoughts etc and chat away to Toby.... lol :)

My new one is a pure bred spanish - the 'proper' term for him is PRE (Pura Raza Espanola), 4y.o gelding. Getting very excited now!

I know what you mean! I either sold or gave away 99% of the things I had before and now I find that I've forgotten something every 5 minutes!!! :p
 
Ooooohhh - what a lovely exciting time for you ....

How'z about various numnahs/saddle cloths - all matchy matchy - lots needed especially in the summer months.

Shampoos etc and maybe saddle soap and other tack cleaning stuff?

Haven't read the replies but here are a few things I can think of:

*Bandages + pads
*over reach boots + tendon boots (I never ride my horse anywhere without them, I even turn out in them when he is lively! )
*Treats (The easiest way to get him to like you!)
*Fly mask
* Hoof stuff
* lungeline + lunge whip
 
ha ha ha ha yeah I probably will hyperventilate when he gets here....

very exciting getting a new horse and am picking up my parents old car for next to nothing also. :)


oh and your new lad sounds gorgeous, pics of when he arrives please :D :D :D
