What equine nutrition questions do you ask your vet?

I am a UK vet student and my third year research project is on equine nutrition and the questions that owners ask their vet. If you are over the age of 18 years and you are a UK horse/pony owner, we would be really keen to hear from you. Below is a link to a very simple, 15-minute survey. Your time helping with this research is very much appreciated.

I've got to say that was not the easiest survey to complete. All that 'select at least 5 answers' stuff ended up with me just ticking random boxes to be able to complete the survey. Also a rather random list of breeds! Warmbloods (a very common type) were omitted but pretty much every category of native breed was listed. And included a rare breed such as Cleveland Bay.

Ditto. Plus the only time I've used a vet for nutritional advice was during a presentation on Cushings. The nutritionist from a feed company who visited our yard was absolutely hopeless. Even the portable weighbridge she brought along wasn't accurate.
The best advice comes from my yard owner with 40 yards experience of running a large competition yard and a woman who runs a feed store and used to be a feed rep.
Generally don't find vets particularly useful for anything more than very general feed advice which then has to be discussed with the two people already mentioned.

I wouldn't ask a vet about nutrition. I did try to complete your survey but found the first few questions too intrusive. Why do you need to know the first part of my postcode - that would enable you to potentially identify my vet? Then further into the survey you asked when I would discuss nutrition with my vet and didn't give the only option that I might have ticked (at vaccine time) although the next question did ask about vaccine time. I am afraid I gave up there.

Tried, cant go past Q14, as nothing applies. I wouldn't rate any of them as worth discussing with vet, so cant go further.
Much as I highly rate my eminent vet, feeding has never featured on the radar whatsoever in discussions with him.
Thank you for your feedback. Based on it, I have made the question optional. I really value all responses.

I'm sorry that the survey was problematic. Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the survey and for your feedback. I am sorry that you felt that any questions were intrusive.
