What equipment for part loaner?

Saving up to part loan 2-3 days a week. Someone go through EVERYTHING i will need please! Even if its obvious like a riding helmet etc. I know that it wont be exact because every owner who is loaning their horse to someone is different but in your experience:)
 
You should only need your own equipment, hat, gloves and jodhpur boots. Any horse that you are allowed to ride/handle for a few hours/days per week should have all the grooming equipment etc that is required.
 
For a part loan, the owner should supply everything. You should only need riding clothes - hat, boots, gloves, maybe a stick.
 
If it's a part loan, what the others have said - just what you need to ride. You shouldn't be expected to provide anything else.

A hi-viz tabbard/jacket if you are hacking, in addition to the hat, gloves, boots, breeches and stick mentioned above. A good waterproof and if you will be doing jobs a pair of wellies and some work gloves. The horse's gear should all be provided.

You might find there are some other bits you want to make things easier/safer/more comfortable but you will find that out as you go along. For example my husband has in the past provided his own stirrups and leathers as often other peoples are too small. If you ride in an airvest you may need to provide the saddle attachment. If the saddle is uncomfortable a seatsaver might be nice. Always check with the owner before using anything of your own though.
 
Agree with everyone else.

Make sure you have a decent hat, boots etc. body protector if you want it and if the horse's stirrups/leathers aren't suitable then discuss with the owner.

Again, I wouldn't rush off buying grooming kits and things like that. The owner will provide. I'm probably a miserable old bag but it drives me mad when part loaners start buying the horse things it doesn't need like grooming kits and head collars as they then have to be kept somewhere and storage space is always at a premium on livery yards.

My advice would always be that if you would like to buy something for the horse discuss with the owner first. A pretty new numnah or some brushing boots might be much more appreciated than a bag of sparkly brushes or a neon pink headcollar.

The other thing you might want to consider for yourself is some horse rider insurance.
