it's Friday night and I have no social life which might be a good thing because I had another riding lesson tonight and my legs are aching.

So what exercises can I do to build up the strength in my leg muscles for riding and any of you knowledgable people know any exercises I can do whilst chained to my computer each day for work that will help to get me fitter?

...It is embarassing taking my hat off at the end of the lesson and my hair is plastered to my head even with a vented riding hat

Get yourself a gym ball/swiss ball giant rubber ball they use in pilates classes and sit on it whilst at your PC. That way you gently exercise your back, improve balance and posture. It is the ultimate in multi tasking! I am sitting on one right now!

They usualy come with a workout sheet, and prety much any exercises you do with them will help your riding.

Also, a medicine ball is fantastic for teh riding muscles, core stability is the main thing with riding. You can get all this stuff from Argos for a few £

Well the job I do is quite stressful and you have to a bit insane to be able to do it so they probably wouldn't bat an eye lid at me sitting on a big ball

Pole Dancing?....now before you all cringe with terror or wet yourselves laughing at the thought, I went with my friend to a pole dancing exercie course, yes it was funny, you get to meet other people and make friends (you said you have no social life!) its great for toneing those legs (although you get covered in bruises!) and if you an cling to a single slippery 6ft pole then riding your horse will be a doddle.

Not ony that but its great for the bedroom deparment! haha
