What feed balancer do you use?

I feed the GWF Equilibra 500, it has done wonders for my boy, he looks great his coat is shiny, i think its really helped him as hes coming back into full work to really develop muscle in the right places.

Im a total geek, and when i was looking into all the different balancers, i started to make a spreadsheet with a breakdown of all the different percentages and diff vits and minerals in each one. Its a pretty big spreadsheet now- i had never heard of equilibra (or gwf) before looking into it, but it came out one of the best by my calcs.

Interestingly one of the 'big' brands does not produce a breakdown of ingredients on their website, and even when i phoned the company i was told they can give me a general summary- but wouldnt provide a complete breakdown- so I wouldnt ever consider it as an option, and am quite suprised that its as popular as it seems to be!

I'd be interested to know which was the big brand and also which balancers came out on top? PM me if you would prefer?

I feed 75% recommended amount of Pure balancer, and 25% recommended amound of Pure Condition.

The condition contains the balancer ingredients too, so works out that he gets all his recommended nutrients.

Bailey's lo cal is very good stuff and I'd probably use that for a horse that was well enough covered but had no real risk of getting overweight. It certainly makes them look well and is good value compared to most. I only changed from the bailey's stuff to Topspec lite as Be is SUCH a good doer that I worry endlessly about her weight, and after doing some research it turns out that the topspec one is 30% lower in calories.

I have put the new chap on Topspec comprehensive and the mare staying at mine will be going onto the topspec stud balancer as soon as my supplier gets it in stock for me.

Luckily all three are little horses so a bag lasts them nearly 6 weeks (500gms per day).
