What feed?

As its coming up to winter soon am wondering what feed my 2 year old will need?
He is a 2 year old welsh section d at the minute hes out 24/7 and just gets a little bit of chaff when he comes in not that he really needs it just so he is easier to catch.
In winter he will be coming in at night so am wondering whether he will be ok just having chaff or whether he will need some sort of concentrate feed for growth etc

In that case plenty of good quality hay and bailey's stud balancer, keep it nice and simple!

lol i think thats what he was getting before i got him stood in his stable getting it shovelled in but they used cow nuts as they helped bloat him more (shocking) when i first got him home i just put him on a youngstock mix

how is he weightwise?? if he's about right i'd go down the hay/balancer route, if he needs a little more add some alfa a oil and some speedibeet.

his weight is fine he is well covered but you can still easily feel his ribs

Hay and balancer is all my boy will be getting (2yr cob) If he's looking a bit skinny he'll get a bit of sugarbeet and chaff too.

i would put him on a balncer and hay if you want a bit of weight and everything he needs put him on a oung stock mix!
