What feeds do you use???

D&H Pasture mix, D&H Topline Conditioning Cubes, Speedibeet and cheap mollichop! Ellie looks wonderful on it, the best she ever has done I would say! Have tried Spillers and Baileys, but I come back to D&H every time!

I've never used D&H but have used Spillers and Baileys and have seen a lot of horses do well on all three. Feeding is very individual to the horse though, one might do well on one brand and badly on another, and it depends on exactly what and how you feed! So I can tell you how I personally rate different feeds, but it's up to you and your horse at the end of the day!

Main Ring Blue (the cool mix)
Dengie Alfa-A (and Hi-Fi when no Alfa-A is provided)
D&H Barley Rings
D&H Build Up

I rate them all quite highly (otherwise I wouldn't use them

Ive probably used everything in the past! Just completly depends on who im feeding and what im feeding for, I will then look at every company and see what will suit that horse the best.

Currently using:

Spillers high fibre cubes
Alfa A
Baileys outshine
Baileys Lo-cal
and good old mollichaff!

Not all with the same horse (obviously) but

D&H Build Up
Spillers H&P cubes
Speedibeet
Sunflower oil
Dengie Hi Fi

Been pretty happy with all of them to be honest, especially the oil!

I use Baileys Lo-cal on both my slightly boily TB x ID, and my ID good do-er, they've both wintered exceptionally well on it, topped up with haylage,. Baileys have a great advice team too.

Over 4 different horses -

D&H build up
Spillers conditioning mix
Spillers Pony Cubes
Alfa Oil
Equilibra 500
Spillers instant response mix
Speedibeat (sp)
Fibre-beat
Barley Rings
D&H Sixteen Plus
and
Happy Hoof

And they all seem to do a great job

Mini ponies get Happy Hoof
Icelandic gets Happy Hoof and Spillers Hi fibre cubes
Heavy horses get Spillers Hi fibre cubes, Graze on, unmolassed sugarbeet plus ad lib hay.

Currently-
Simple system Lucie Bix
SS Blue Bag Grass Cubes
Redi Grass
Baileys Outshine (love this stuff)
Global Herbs Super Calm
I am a fan of Simple System and Baileys, I also like the company who sell the Equilibruim feed range (cant remember who does it though) I am NOT a fan of Dengie for various mistakes they have made/wierd things i found in their feed bags/colourings that they use

Baileys Economy mix
Baileys Cooked Cereal Meal
Spillers High Fibre Cubes
Spillers 'cool' Fibre
Dengie Alfa A
Speedi- Beet

(not all for the same horse!!)

I have always fed Baileys- I like the mix as an all-round mix for Red, as Sol can pick the bits he likes out and leaves the rest!
I lurve the Cooked Cereal Meal- it's kept weight on Solo brilliantly all winter, and looks lovely when it's warm, and mixed with the Speedi- Beet. I have also found that it doesn't heat Sol up, as many other conditioning feeds do.
I fed Sol the Baileys Economy Cubes up until about 3 weeks ago- but I got a voucher from Spillers for £2 off the high-fibre cubes and I think Solo prefers them.
I've fed the Spillers 'Cool' Fibre since it first came out, and I like to base their feeds on fibre, I really like it. It keeps Solo interested, and he doesn't leave any at all!
Red gets the Alfa-A as he's needed the energy for hunting- and as before, I like to base their diets on fibre. I'll be changing him from the Alfa-A to HiFi soon as he won't be needing to be so energetic over the summer.
Feed them both the Speedi-Beet as it encourages them to eat up and helps the weight on each of them.

used all sorts over the years but currently

Fleur is on half half of Baileys' No 4 conditioning cubes and D&H Leisure mix. She has to stay as barley free as possible as Barley send hers doolally. Dan is just leisure mix.

Both then have Dengie Hifi and sugarbeet although we are currently decreasing all their hard feeds as the spring grass is starting to come through and they are getting fat!

Spillers Conditioning cubes
Spillers Slow Release Competition cubes
Thorogoods 'Special Chaff' (soya oil sprayed)

Also using Acti-Premium at the moment because Governor's been moved around so much this week.

George has Dengie hi-fi lite and Baileys lo-cal - the lo-cal made a real difference to his feet and his coat and it was still shiney in the depths of winter.

Hi-fi original
Cool mix
Sugar beet shreads
and Baked cereal if Bear drops any weight but he's done really well this winter.
And they have 2 heap barrows of haylege a day too.
And Buddie has glucosamine for his little stiff joints!!!

My 5 get different things but my feed room consists of:

Baileys No.4 top line conditioning cubes
D&H Pasture Mix
Sugar beet shreds
Speedi-beet
Dengie Alfa A Oil

Supplements:
NAF Superflex
SS Linseed
NAF Electrolytes
Locally made vit & mins

Thanks everyone. Just a bit curious really. Mine are on Spillers cooling mix right now, were on baileys but they seem to enjoy the spillers.

Safe and Sound is the majority of his feed, then D&H Performance Concentrate which I am cutting down on due to the imminent spring grass. In summer he will be on Safe and Sound and Spillers High Fibre Cubes. He is looking SUPERB, with loads of muscle and a lovely shiny coat.
