What fictional horse did you want to own?

just a fun thread, which fictional horse did you want to own when you were younger or now :D? When I was younger I wanted Shanith and then I decided I quite liked Macaulay(Rupert Campbell Black's horse) in Riders :)
 
Shantih also- and I still have a chestnut Arab (x) mare with a white blaze and 4 socks too! I re read one of them not long ago, and found out she was actually called Yasmin in the beginning too, I didn't know that when I bought my Yasmin 17 years ago! #saduselessfactoftheday...
 
ooh, is Shanith the chestnut mare that lived on the moors and was owned by Jinny? Loved those books amd really wanted her. Also Jill's second horse, Rapide I think? Oh and the grey that that girl won in a competition after writing an essay, Misty was it?

So all of them basically ;)

Funny you should say that, Billy Lloyd-Fox's horse The Bull reminds me of my mare. The bits about his "chest like a steamer funnell", "cobby quarters", his little legs thundering like pistons, his big white face, and the way he rolls his eyes in expression - it could be my girl JC is writing about! And Sailor, who doesn't love Sailor?! Riders is my all time fave!
 
Thinking about it there must be loads I would have loved to have from all my pony club type books.
I couldnt begin to remember a thing about the Jilly Cooper horses, although I did read them when I was a teen :o

I'd forgotten about Sailor and the Bull :D then there was Africa and Fantasma in Polo ;):D
 
Oh so many of them, I wanted "Mokey" from Summer Pony. I wanted Fly and Toadhill Flax from Fly-By-Night and The Team. I wanted William from "Sweet William" I wanted Stormy from "Stormy, Misty's Foal" I wanted Skylark from "Vicky and the Brown Mare" and I kind of ended up for a while with a mare like Skylark in many ways Black Sand or Black Minx (Offspring of The Black Stallion in various books) The nameless black mare in "Indian Paint"
she sounded so sensible :D
 
How have none of you said either Black Beauty or The Black (from The Black Stallion)? Also, some of the horses in Jilly Cooper's books:

Mrs Wilkinson in Jump
Sailor and Macauley in Riders

Joey from War Horse.

Got my own storybook horse now though . . . love my grey donkey.

Of course I now realise I could never handle a stallion - certainly not "The Black" :D

I also quite liked Misty from the Jackie stories - probably more my mark TBH!
 
Shantih and the black stallion, plus I used to read the American saddle club books...I think there was one called Comanche?

Because I never liked the book as its too sad :o

And I never ever ever wanted an arab/arab x, ever. I have somehow though got 2 pba now but I still never ever want another arab/arab x :D (till next time ;))
 
Pie - Pirate from the film National Velvet or if your a fan of the book Piebald...

second choice would definitely be the Black what a stunner

realistically though it would be one of thelwells ponies :D
