What gear could you NOT do without?

Was going to say 4th gear in the car :D
But probably baby oil. Great for untangling. Helping stains, putting a lovely shine on the coat, moisturizer, and great for if the boys have feather mites or mud fever, repels mud and makes most of the mites slide off. :D
Fabulous stuff- great for keeping the flies away too if you add some tea tree oil to it :D

Agreed.

Also yup, a good tempered horse is nice:)

Baby oil is ace, that and baby wipes really! Utterly love my dressage saddle too, I could do with out it, but I would rather not as it is so lovely to look at and comfy to ride in lol!! Having a grey I would have to add head and shoulders to the list - without it we really wouldn't come any where near presentable!

Haven't tried baby wipes, may do so!

I don't really know what kind of suncream of anything. It is a sort of block, and when warm fingers rub it, thick gunk appears!Magic!

Just one?! I'm not sure I can narrow it down to one.

For me my must have includes sudocream, rope halter, Milton steriliser and baby wipes.

Although, with this recent weather I am also adding to my list waterproof trousers and my Musto coat!

My lorry - it drives itself to the vets ;)
It's been used for moving furniture, hay, straw, sleepers for the garden, fence panels, garden shed, it even went to Ireland when sister in law moved back home. It probably does 50% horses and 50% other stuff !

oooh so many things but above all my horsebox! Just a little 3.5t but so much easier to get around in than a trailer. So handy.
Also, plaiting bands (I keep my horses tails plaited most of the time so they grow nice and full and dont get too dirty) and one of those nice mane and tail brushes are def handy. and dressage saddles most definitely.

With my mums horse we cant live with out her padded all in one suit, our Barbour wax jacket we got off eBay, purple spray and plastic quick release tie rings!!!

Ditto baby wipes; also -

Lynn Russell Stable Stain Remover; useful for numnah's, rugs, clothing etc etc + spraying on the side of the lorry where Himself always poo's.

Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Body Spray (the blue on); keeps midges away plus keeps tails & manes/feathers looking gorgeous!

My endurance/synthetic reins & bridle: www.performance_equestrian.co.uk - fantastic

Ariat winter/thermal joddies: faaannnntaaaaasssttiiiccc!!! A real MUST-HAVE when the temperature plummets.

Ditto Rambo waterproof riding trousers

Ventilated riding hat; dunno how I managed without.

Waterproof ride-on saddle covers. A handy piece of kit.

Fleece hi-viz Endurance top & quarter sheet - www.equafleece.co.uk; also I've got an Aerborn waterproof one.

Sorry (forgot): Killitch for my boy with sweet itch; and I got a Horseware ride-on fly rug at local tack shop which was absolutely invaluable last year. Well worth it if you've got a sweet itchy.

Can't think of any more right now.

My toyota 4x4! Without it i cant get to the horses. I hate driving but i love that car. Its quite happy going through a muddy field, towing as it did yesterday to fetch hubbys new pony, or shooting along the motorway! And it sips fuel whatever its doing.

Of course with our hairy lot my rubber grooming mit is a must have!!
