What type of girth do you use and why. i bought a soft leather girth for my boy but he sweats under it and it has caused a sore which i never had before with my humane girth. Do you have a fav?

Thorowgood Synthetic - non slip! star isn't bothered by them either.
I used to use leather girths, but I sacrificed style for safety and eventually went wiht the thorowgood,
If I could find a humnae thorowgood - then life would be totally perfect. I love them, so much easier to do up, and because I can sneak them up, Star doesn't mind so much either.

I use a padded leather girth and have never had any problems with rubbing no matter how much she sweated under it.
Could it be that the girth is slipping backward and forwards? Maybe not tight enough or too tight?
I'm not a fan of humane girths as it's far too easy to girth them up too tightly. Most people know how tight a girth should be on how much forces they need to use to get it up a hole with the pulley system on the humane girth you lose that effect almost entirely.
