Just had a lovely ride out on my mare who is coming back into work after nearly a year of lameness, she's restricted to walk only at the moment and for a while yet, but added with the weather today I had a gorgeous ride, sun shining, no flies, not too hot, not too cold, etc, being on the back of my lovely mare again, she was fab too, a really relaxing ride, THAT'S what riding's all about!!!! Sorry pointless post but feel so happy now!

Up at the top of St Marthas hill gazing at the view plodding along on horsey in the sunshine turned him out bare when we got back to feel the sun on his back and enjoy a roll , then home and off on my bike to the shops, lots of crocuses out and first daffs

Isn't it just! Makes me even more depressed at being crippled and not being able to ride :(

However the sun itself cheers me up.

Inner conflict *sigh*

It's like a spring day here, passed my friend on her horse this morning when I went to feed mine - was very jealous she had today off work to hack out!

Took Zigs rug off for the first time today - naked sunbathing - woohoo :D

Gorgeous here today too, once the frost had lifted its quite warm in the sun, with todays sun and the strong wind the last 3 days I can actually see evidence of the field drying up woooo!! All to be destroyed tommorow because the rain is forcast to come back!

I have to say I'm not as brave as you lot, was very tempted to take off the rugs, but they're out tonight and couldn't bring myself to do it, mind you they do only have light ones on!!! If I were going back up tonight, they'd have been off for sure!!! Just lovin this weather, and thank you but you can keep your cornish drizzle down there please!!!! x

Ummmmmm it's chucking it down here, that damp Cornish drizzle... probably moving up country tomorrow!

yep that! lol!

though this morning I did manage to get my mare lunged and out for a walk inhand when it was just misty, now it's raining!

I thought that this morning when I was down at the yard turning out, thought hmmm what a lovely morning, it will be a lovely day today for riding...shame I was driving to work mind

Could of quite easily had a stomach bug today ;)

Once I emerged from the fog this morning up to the heights of the South Downs it was just a perfect spring-like morning. All rugs off my lot and they loved it. The stallion was on the alert though - girlies, girlies, I can see them through the hedge!!! Took my camera out and got some mud-lark shots for my album. May put one on if I can find the camera cable to the laptop later! As others - shame I had to go to work. Bet its not like this tomorrow when I have the farrier over first thing. But will still have to go to work afterwards - no work no horses - keep telling myself!!! :(

Managed to find the lead for the camera. This is my boy this morning. He is not so white tonight having, I guess, spent the day rolling in the mud! He has a thin rug on tonight (as he has been moulting and has almost a summer coat now) and my other two are naked as they have plenty of blubber and hair. They have only had thin rugs on recently anyway. That evil wind has died down and all is still again. Hope tomorrow is the same. ;)
