After today I do wonder why the horse world is so bitchy! Everyone is an expert and think they have the right to judge as my mare prefers being kept in!!!!

So rude, what's wrong with horsey women? And don't deny it there is sum right nasty ones on here!!!!!!

I don't think the horse world is any more bitchy than any other sport. And for every nasty person on here, there's 10 over sensitive people, just looking for a reason to be offended. Can't comment on whatever your situation is, but why not just speak to the people involved?

I think it's her second actually she was mugged on her first thread:( - not sure if it was another troll race or just a set piece.

Yes it's bitchy , yes horsey women can be bitchy but no more than too many women together in real life.

There is an ignore button on here if someone is really nasty to you.

There is also some great advice.

Manners have generally disappeared along with discipline.

I too have horses that prefer to be inside.

When it is chucking it down with rain and I open the barn door to let the youngsters out into their paddock they walk out, look down the track turn around and walk back in.

If I do make them go out in the rain, they stand under the hedge looking miserable and chances are that when I go to get them in they make me walk across the field to get them because they do not want to move from the shelter of the hedge.

I don't think it can be that post she's on about, seeing as it was two months ago. OP, perhaps you could explain what has upset you, and everyone will be less confused!

EDIT - I am now even more confused as I can't see any post about a horse preferring to be kept in!

Read the OP post- her last line in first paragraphs says her mare prefers being kept in- and experts tell her this is wrong Im guessing.
However that just proves people don't actually read posts but comment anyway.

To be honest, you are not coming across as an ex pupil from Charm School either. Would you care to explain your grievances.

Yep I thought that too:confused: although perhaps OP is talking about an incident that happened in RL... and was merely using posters on this forum as an example?

FWIW OP, my baby prefers his stable, there are a couple of horses at the yard who have recently made poo picking easy as they stand by the gate all day waiting until they can be bought in! Unfortunately I got mini mugged on here for projecting human emotions on my horse, because he couldn't possibly be happiest in an individual paddock or prefer being in his stable... all you have to say is 'hey ho', if you're happy and your horse is happy... who flipping cares?

Edited to say that if the opinions of others has got you so riled, you need to start learning how to 'get over it' for want of a better word, if thats all youve got to worry about and its got you so wound up, wow. On the other hand, we are never too old to learn or to listen to the opinions of others who in some cases are more experienced than ourselves.

oh, and you only need 1 exclamaiton mark to make a point. Not 6 or 4.

Mine would actually prefer to be in as well but I kick them out. This time of year anyway. The ridden ones get ridden and out they go again. They stay out til half 3. Maybe I'm cruel but oh well. Nobody goes crazy.

No need for that last sentence thanks! If you have a look at posts I have made in the past, you will conclude am NOT one of those who comment without reading posts. It just so happens that that line escaped my usually eagle eyes, and I was therefore confused about what the problem was. Nobody os perfect all the time!

OP - apologies for my complete inability to read your post properly. If you explain a bit more about what's happened, you may get a bit of support from the nice HHO'ers.

Oh for god sake, don't know what this is about about if you come on a public forum you cannot except everyone to agree with you.
On here you have to hold your own, not flounce on your 3rd post. It does not bode well.

You need a thick skin to post on here.

so calling the horse world bitchy and saying that there are 'sum' right nasty ones here is good manners:rolleyes:

Ops only made one other post, not about muggings, so no immediate reason to assume its a troll.

I dont think anyone is assuming that, I think what has happened is that OP has come on here to vent frustration regarding an issue that happened in RL and for a moment some people assumed that it was possibly related to a previous post by op as op made mention of the fact that there are people on here that are prone to being a bit bitchy... I think the two are separate incidents, unless OP this is a direct result of another post under a different name... although I haven't seen anything along that description on this forum today.

I was merely illustrating when I mentioned I got 'mugged' on here that there are those who will jump on you on this forum for taking a particular stance... I don't think its a bad thing, you can choose to ignore it, but I happen to think that sometimes some different opinions can help you to reassess, even if nothing needs to change. A couple of years ago, my two had five hours turn out a day in the winter... from 12 to 5pm, Ebony was the most relaxed she had ever been in a stable, I was slated by one 16yr old upstart at the yard who didn't agree with this because it wasn't how she did things.... god knows Id never done it before, but it worked so I told her to shove off, she had been on this planet less years than I had been keeping horses...

I don't necessarily think its worse in the horsey world, but I do think we need to grow a thicker skin to survive in it :D

No I meant that she didn't recieve a very nice welcome to the forum with her first post ....;) but I cant see another post today where any one had mentioned horse in out etc. Agree Queenbee it must be RL ... god forbid does that still happen a life os cyber space?

Op chin up, tough skin, and kick on.
